James Bond: 007 - Spectre - Part 5

I personally loved Dalton, though Craig is my favorite.
Speaking of his humor, I found Daltons to be almost snide and filled with distain, whixh is probably why he wasn't really charming at all.
But I still really love his Bond. MUCH more than Moore.
Hell, I prefer Lazenby. Who I think gets a bad rap and didn't think he was THAT bad. He fit well enough and especially considering it was his first acting gig, it could have been a lot worse.

Should next actor be more like Dalton or Lazenby (portrayal wise)?

Why do I ask?

Because not many people want another Brosnan or Moore. And a new Connery is impossible to find anyway.

Hey, wait! What if there is someone who can play the character in a whole different way? Would you be up for that?

Dan... Stevens... I think his Bond would be like a more playful version of Daniel Craig's.

Tanner- Hey sir. Sorry to bother you sir but Bond is deep trouble.

M- Alert the Canadian Air force and Navy.

Tanner- Right away sir.

*Four Canoes and Ten Ducks are deployed*

Hey, shut up! :argh: We're up to 12 ducks now, and we've just requisitioned our own high-tech underwater submarine (which should arrive in 6-8 weeks, according to the ad in the Judomaster comic book we ordered it from).

Or they could just send in a Mountie.

They're like the Terminator, but charmingly polite and snappily dressed!

dunno if this is true, but its funny

I take it this is all from people who have seen The Guest? I've been meaning to check that out.

Yea man it's awesome. His performance is really magnetic. He goes from effortlessly cool and charming to cold and malevolent at the drop of a hat.

There is a scene at a party where he is talking to some guy about the military. They are laughing and joking but then all of a sudden the mood completely flips with just a change in facial expression from Stevens. He has a powerful screen presence.

It's common for people to jump on a bandwagon for sure. I might be guilty of it myself here. But seriously, the guy has every single quality to make a fantastic James Bond.

If he seems like a good fit, then he's a good fit. There's a reason why people can all agree on something. Especially when it comes to casting so I don't see why not. It at least seems like more inspired casting than Tom Hardy anyway.

Has great pedigree when it comes to acting chops - he can also relate to Bond's past, adopted, boarding school etc. He's also very good looking. They could just darken his hair or i guess leave it how it is without the hollywood highlights.

I would enjoy a couple of Bond movies that show pre 00 years. Bond is young, in the Navy, he has a different background the team around him - they can explore him training in the Uk, deployment, to applying for the secret service - there is loads to chose from.

I would like a trilogy of chapters of pre 00

Chapter 1 - Royal Navy, out on deployment - see him train, how he reacts to death and politics around him.

Chapter 2 - Bond's friendships and loyalties put to the test when an inside job threatens to ruin the fleet he is commander of - we see a side to bond that is tactful, discrete and professional.

Chapter 3 - Enlisted in the secret service, we see early missions and earning his 00 status

Then, we can flow with 007 centric stories where characters from the original chapters come back to play/haunt

Just watched the Guest. I am definitely behind the Dan Stevens suggestion.

You do know that you can post more than one picture in a single post right?

Does he crash land a plane and then exits and shoots people?

Chesterfield, YOU ARE GOING TO GET BANNED AND SUED!

:wow:

...but honestly, you are about to get an infraction.

Yeeeeees. That is so classic looking Bond. The black sweats with the walther in a snowy location.

Well, that about confirms the December script that leaked is indeed the shooting script.

If they get it right it's going to look better than the snowy scenes from "The Girl with the dragon tattoo"

At least that what these remind me of with Craig and the snow.

Meh, i'm realy not intested in seeing James Bond in the military, at most Young Bond could be interesting, as it has more to do with the spy roots of the series than one set in the Royal Navy.

It would be tough. Fincher and Cronenweth are one of the best in the west.
