:hmr: Now that's more like it!

Anyway, there's a Daily Mail article stating that the Austria/Rome chases each go on for about 6-7 mins... I hope that's true. We're in for some great action.

Looking forward to the pre-credit helicopter sequence the most….

Can anyone remix the song with a drum beat or something

Maybe also different orchestration and different vocals too. Then Sam Smith might sound alright.

It's possible that the song may have a different edit in the final film and this could just be the single version. It happened with "You Know My Name" from Casino Royale.

Single release:

Film version:

I like both, but the final film version felt more like a Bond song. There's still room for improvement with "Writing's on the Wall".

I would rather "Writing's on the wall" went the way of Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang by Dionne Warrick and was replaced at the last minute by Tom Jones's Thunderball.

Also, while the instrumentation is different for You Know My Name, both versions are still good and certainly more listenable than Sam Smith's song.

"Spectre" Destroys $36M Worth Of Cars

"Spectre," the upcoming twenty-fourth James Bond film, reportedly has a budget bordering on a whopping $303 million U.S. dollars according to British tabloid The Daily Mail.
That would not only make it the most expensive Bond film ever made, but one of the most expensive films ever made. Even more interesting though is what some of that money was spent on with approximately $36 million alone written off on the vehicles used throughout the film.
Ten specifically created Aston Martin DB10 sports cars were built for the production with seven of them destroyed during filming.
In fact several million dollars worth of high-performance vehicles were written off during one sequence alone in which Bond's Aston Martin is pursued at high speed by Dave Bautista's Hinx villain in a Jaguar C-X75 through the streets of Rome.
That chase took place around the Vatican, Colosseum and along the River Tiber. Chief stunt co-ordinator Gary Powell says: "In Rome, we wrecked millions of pounds worth. They were going into the Vatican at top speeds of 110 mph. We shot one entire night for four seconds of film."
Another scene involves a full-size aeroplane piloted by Bond which ploughs through an Alpine barn and crashes into a villain's Land Rover, and another is the opening sequence in which a struggle over a helicopter's landing gear leads to a mid-air loop-the-loop.
"Spectre" opens in the UK October 26th and the U.S. on November 6th.

They could've just given me the supped up Jag and Aston Martin.

Song isn't all that bad. It's not amazing, but I enjoyed it. Obviously a big step down though from songs like "You Know My Name" and "Skyfall."

Someone give The Weeknd a call.

Not impressed by the poster at all, looks like an effortless photoshop edit.

Started reading the books with Casino Royale. Loving it so far. Fleming actually made me understand cards. Besides that I'm astonished how interesting Bond remains despite his mundane nature. He's interesting in his dullness. That takes quite a feat and Fleming pulled off exactly what he set out to do.

I've never understood what Mathis role was in CR and why Bond realised he had a hand in La Chife plans… Anytime i watch it, it confuses me…..

I don't think Mathis did if I remember. Bond was wrong about that, which I think Quantum of Solace confirmed. I think.

LaChirffe told Bond that Mathis was his friend. Bond just believed him for some reason.
