James Bond: Blood Stone

You don't switch constantly because you don't run for 30 seconds and then come to a ledge. Halo's takedown system is pretty damn cool.

Are you forgetting that Goldeneye, Nightfire, Agent Under Fire were all FPS? Those imo were the funnest and best games. Goldeneye had an amazing multiplayer.

Haha, you are either in cover, jumping or vaulting a ledge or in hand to hand combat almost 80% of the time you are on foot. MUCH more so than Halo's take down system. Goldeneye was good when it dropped. Nightfire and Agent Under Fire, flat out, sucked.

Not all games arent made or lost in the MP dept.

I finished the game last night. Had a TON of fun with it. The best Bond experience to date. I can only find 2 things that i can really harp on. One, its a bit short, i think i beat the game in 6 to 7 hours. Two, i dont think i heard the line "Bond. James Bond", which is a major bummer. I loved how the game ended leaving things open and then before the credits started to roll "James Bond Will Return...." scrolled on the screen. That was a neat touch. Needless to say, i want another game, made by Bizarre, that continues this games story line. Really fun game over all.

No Nightfire was good:cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad:

In today's world, MP is king. It is what increases the replay value of the game. It is what started the Bond gaming franchise. I feel cheated today if I pay $60 for a game that I beat in 8 hours and maybe replay one more time if I didn't already beat it on the hardest difficulty. These games need to go back to having great multiplayer. You can have a great campaign and a great multiplayer in one game. Quantum of Solace was a step in the right direction but it wasn't good enough in the MP department. One day Bond will get back to having a great MP. It may come in the form of Goldeneye on the Wii...I don't know and won't know as I despise the Wii.

I don't think it's a big deal if a game has MP or not. Dead Space 2 is going to have MP and I think that's quite dumb, I don't care if it's fantastic... I'm not going to play it. Rumor has it that ME3 will have a MP mode... which again, is stupid.

I mostly buy a game for the single player anyway because, really... how many online modes can one play? I played Halo 3 for 3 years with a TINY bit of MW2 here and there... that was it.

Yea most of my games are bought with sp in mind, however with titles like Halo: Reach and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, i play them almost exclusively for the MP.

I havent even played the MP in this yet, but id assume its not all that good. I dont think you can do the bad ass Daniel Craig takedowns in MP and i also suck ass at 3rd person MP games.

This game was pretty fantastic. It feels like a Bond game, the takedowns and focus aims are great. Yeah it's pretty short campaign but it is a fantastic ride the whole way through. The online is surprisingly pretty entertaining for a little while. All in all this is easily a 8 out of 10.

I rented it last night and played a few hours. I enjoyed it a lot. The gameplay is good and its fun. I even like the multiplayer which was surprising. I didn't expect much from the MP. I did feel like the graphics during the gameplay were better than the cutscene graphics. Those were kind of awkward to watch, but I overlook that because the gameplay is so good. I look forward to buying a copy of my own

Yea i really really enjoyed the game. I played through it on Agent and the 007 difficulties and am gonna play through it again to collect some more achievements. This game had everything i wanted from a Bond game. I was super impressed.

I beat it on 007 difficulty a few days ago. I LOVE this game. What did you guys think about the ending? Definitely didn't see it coming, but after replaying the game, it all made sense, also as to why the game is called Blood Stone.

you should pm me a summery of the games story and ending.

I thought it was a pretty good James Bond story over all. I kind of realized the twist before it hit tho, as thats kind of a classic twist in these stories. I also thought it was really neat how they kept things open. Im still hoping for Quantum to be involved if we get another game.

The Gametrailers review didn't make it sound like being much of a good game at all. But reading all the positive reponses in here, I think I'll give it a try.

Yea I can understand the complaints. It doesn't do much new, it's short and there are better looking games out there, but I bought it because I was looking for a good Bond experience and I felt the game delivered on that 100%. It truly felt like a Bond adventure from start to finish. It's a solid playing title all the way through and if you're a Bond fan, especially Craigs Bond, then you should enjoy this game.

I picked up the game over the weekend. Honestly, the game doesn’t do any thing new, the game play isn’t anything original in the slightest, the story is only some what interesting, and the graphics (only 720?! REALLY?!) were really hit or miss. The devs didn't try to take any risks; it’s a very cookie-cutter game, almost made me feel like it was a movie game. There's no real immersion into Bond's world and its overly simplistic: sneak, scan, shoot, drive. Repeat.

And yet….I enjoyed the hell out of it. For all its weaknesses, its still a fun game. I'll be looking forward to the next one.

Since A-Team doesn't seem like it'll get a sequel any time soon, or really ever, I think it would be great if they'd also do a game for that. Just get all the all the actors to lend their likeness and voices and give us a sequel story in game form.

It's not an overly complex game, its just fun. It's cutscenes aren't terribly well done, but I loved the gameplay. I love doing a takedown on an enemy and then immediately doing a focus aim headshot. I found myself enjoying my pistol more than the other weapons. It's just a fun, fun game.

Yeah, there was just something about playing Bond and using the pistol that was more enjoyable that any automatic weapon. And the takedown/focus shot combo was fun.

My favorite weapon to use besides the pistol is the AK74.

I like lining up the reticle while I'm behind cover and then popping up and getting a headshot. Bond was meant to use the pistol. Somehow when I'm using the shotgun, I don't feel like Bond

*wrong thread*

Not even editing works properly around here anymore.

Very well put. I agree. I don't know if it's the fact I'm controlling Daniel Craigs Bond while he does these sick ass takes downs or what, but I loved this game even tho, as u said, it's a fairly simple, run of the mill title. IMO, the game made me feel like Bond which is exactly what I wanted out of the game.

Also agreed on the pistol. LOVE the walther p99. I'm getting one of those this Christmas.

Bummer, hopefully this doesn't stop future games like this

shame...i was looking forward to seeing what they could do with a bigger budget for the next one.
