Swamp Thing James Wan is bringing Swamp Thing to DC's streaming service!

Looks like series got canned. :csad:

I quite enjoyed the first episode. Damn shame.

I don't think I'm even disappointed because they didn't even give me a chance to fall in love with it. What can I say after only 1 episode? I thought it was good and I was looking forward to see more.

Confirmed: DC Universe Has Already Cancelled “Swamp Thing”

Update: Another source details creative differences between several involved, with one wanting something more in line with the horror genre, and the other pulling for a “weekly procedural”, hence the hiring of Len Wiseman to direct. There’s also some conflict over the subscriber base and what WBTV plans to do with their services in the next year. Expect a lot of changes from within.

It costs too much money for what you get. They should be charging around $4 a month. Disney+ is around the corner, and you'll be getting a LOT more content, and it'll be cheaper than DCU. It's just not worth the price. You could probably binge watch everything on the entire platform in under a month. There's really not that much there.

Yeah... I can't see DC Universe hanging around for much longer. I haven't seen the pilot, but I still hope Netflix UK picks this up.

DC is giving Netflix a run for its money in sabotaging their own content, lol. They just can't stop shooting themselves in the foot. What an embarrassment.

I barely started watching it.

I mean, the screw up with North Carolina is a very valid reason. They expected the net cost of the series to be $40 million, not $67 million. What is clear, is that you should not expect anything more than CW production quality from their shows.

I'm starting to see why Netflix is the go to for everybody in the industry. They got deep pockets and say yes to everything. You have to basically try to get your ass cancelled with them.

This was only show from DC Universe I was interested actually and they canceled it. DC never changes. I really hope Netflix gets this.

Matt Murdock is crying. :daredevil

Looks like they might be thinking about doing in DC Universe altogether the way that's sounding. As soon as somebody higher up has to ask how you "fit into their plans" you know what's up.
