DC Universe Streaming Service

I don’t think it will be for a while, they’re still working out the bugs and it sound like it’s going to become a part of the WB streaming service. So I think we’re looking at 1-2 years until it comes out outside the US. I think too with them making deals with Netflix for Titans and probably Doom Patrol that they’re probably not in a rush.
Oh, long wait! But a WB streaming service will be even better than just DC, so I don’t mind waiting for that.

Yeah we gotta be patient really. Still seems a shame we have to wait lol

I wouldnt be surprised if they merge DCU into WB streaming. Especially since they plan on pulling all of the DC-CW shows from netflix.

I just finished watching all the available episodes of Young Justice S3 the other day. It wasn't really what I was hoping for after S2, honestly. Hoping it picks up with the remaining episodes.

Now I'm watching Batman: The Brave and the Bold in all its campy goodness. :)

Btw, Krypton is on the service now. I haven't seen it yet, looking forward to that along with the other live action shows after I finish watching some of the animated shows that I haven't seen yet either.

Also looks like the service is a success: The DC Universe streaming service is leading DC's resurgence in positive fan sentiment, which has rebounded since the all-time low of 'Suicide Squad'

DCU’s future is in question. They ceased production on Swamp Thing. What does this mean for Titans s2? Pretty sure they’re already filming that too. DC Universe was a bad idea. Not enough content for that price. They don’t even have all their movies and shows on there or all their comics. MAYBE if they had that it would warrant the price but as it is, it’s a ripoff and big disappointment. I already paid for a year subscription because I’m a DC superfan, but there aren’t that many people like me. The app is pretty poorly designed and ****s up all the time too. DCU was definitely a fail. Just make it a subsection of the WB streaming service.

DCU will 100% be folded into the WB streaming service and can have a safe future there.

I always said that needed to be done when a DC app first came up. You either price very aggressively to match how much content you have or you put out more content. Disney aren’t trying to launch separate apps for Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, classics etc as that isn’t what consumers want. If it was all DC comics then more fans would pay up but you need a lot more films and shows to keep consumers long term. I really hope this new show universe succeeds and carries on though.

"/Film has exclusively learned that the potential issues with Swamp Thing‘s production do not reflect the health of the DC Universe service. Reports from various outlets suggested that the future of DC Universe was in doubt amid the early production wrap for its latest original series. However /Film confirmed with sources close to the studio that those two topics are unrelated to each other.

Since DC Universe launched in October, it is outpacing expectations, according to /Film’s sources. The streaming service recently doubled its comic book library in March, while a surprise XBox One launch has also been recently announced. Swamp Thing is not the only original title it has planned down the line through 2020 either, with series like Stargirl and Harley Quinn still set to debut."

Having the video media and comics all together for convenience was a good idea, but it looked to be headed this way pretty much since HBO Max dropped. It would have been nice to keep around if the financials logistics of it all worked out they way it was planned.
