The Dark Knight Rises Janice Porter

I think that Janice Porter would make a great addition to Nolan's Batman films. With the police now hunting down Batman in the third film it makes sense that the new D.A would be a character who would want Batman behind bars, and Janice Porter's character was never particularly friendly with Batman, or even Gordon, so it would make a nice change to Harvey Dent. She was also the next D.A after Harvey in Dark Victory, and seeing as Nolan is using Long Halloween and Dark Victory as inspiration for his films it would make sense to have Porter follow Dent.

But I think that the most interesting role of Janice Porter was the fact that she was having a secret affair with Harvey Dent/Two-face. She could be used- but the fact that she was part of his plan to steal those files and be his "inside man" to the D.A.'s office to carry out what he was trying to do...without that- she's kind of replaceable.

Or they could invent a new character. Or it could be Bullock or Montoya. It could really go a lot of ways, but they should have that "let's arrest Batman" character.

What's good about Essen is we can tie her to Gordon. She can be a foil for Gordon and maybe sway him to start believing that Batman isn't a good idea.

Porter would be ideal if they want to bring Harvey back.
