I hate to be one of those fans always searching for loopholes and such, but Snyder says she isn't playing Batgirl and, if this is set after Joker goes all Killing Joke on Barbara, then she really isn't Batgirl, sooooo.... maybe?

Except that's not a loophole & exactly what Zack said. I was going to say the same thing. She could still very well be Barbara.

Didn't he say no one guessed right yet? So I'm assuming those include popular guesses, afaik, like Babs and Carrie. I'm personally gonna stick to my Stephanie Brown guess.

So ole Zacky says she's not batgirl, and she's not a popular guess like Barbra Gordon.
Im gonna say he's dancing around his words, and that she's really ORACLE.
It would only make sense that the scene they cut was a recreation of the killing joke.
The writing is on the walls in my opinion.
At the very least, I'm absolutely convinced she is a member of the bat family.

Could Jena have been there as part of whatever Darkseid is up to? Could she be a Fury or some other female agent? I could see that being cut due to time, and Malone simply gets shifted into JL.

I doubt it. I don't see how Supergirl would fit into this movie, especially in a role so insignificant that it got cut. There's also the television series, which probably wouldn't have been greenlit if the character was going to be in DOJ.

I'm starting to think that her character is either a herald of Darkseid or just plain irrelevant.

WB has already confirmed that they are in a multiverse so that does not prevent them from doing SUPERGIRL as well. See Flash...

Flash was conceived and approved before there were serious plans to develop a Flash movie. They'd be foolish to cancel their most popular series to date for a movie coming out three or four years after the series premiere.

Until we see otherwise, I think it's safe to assume that The Flash is the exception, not the rule.

I may be missing something, but why would they have to cancel the Flash TV show? It is in a different universe, therefore will not affect the movie.

Oh wow, I totally forgot that. I remember so little from that awful movie now except for Alfred's stupid ice puns and those two great Smashing Pumpkins songs that deserved to be part of a better film.

Anyone have any idea who she was supposed to be playing in this film? Thinking about it now I can't pick out a spot for her in the film. I have maybe one idea but that's about it.
