There's really no reason this version of Lex needs to be bald other than that it's 'traditional'; a non-traditional Lex with a full head of hair would be just fine with me.

Same. I'll take a rendition that looks good on screen over one that's there simply for tradition.

Give him some eyebrows and I can dig it.

Again this has nothing to do with his acting chops. This is just a mis-cast.

You can't say this until you've seen the actual performance.

I mean, you *can*, but it'd be pretty silly. Uncertainty is fine, but it's downright unfair to judge this prematurely.

It might be ass, it might be just acceptable, or it might redefine Luthor as we know him. But there's no way to know until we see the finished product.

And I'm all for Mercy appearing in the film and really hope she does, either Gugino or Biel would be great choices too (which is probably why it won't happen let alone those characters even appearing in the first place :o ).

I rather his hair be buzzed like thatpaulallen's manip here

The more manips I see of him bald the less I like it. He just looks creepy. Not everyone can pull off the bald look especially younger guys. Rosenbaum looked fine but even he had an odd shaped head. Certain guys like Willis and Johnson make the bald look work. Tough. Almost regal. This dude looks creepy. Young Lex I can deal with. Uncharming, creepy Lex is a no no.

I could see that. Heck...a lot of TAS stuff could probably make a good case for best versions....

You could make a movie out of just about any episode of the show and it'd be great.

Manips are hardly ever a good indication. I remember all the Chris Hemsworth Thor manips... Bleh. I think the bald look can work.

Batfleck was a name that stuck right away. Do we have a name for Eisenberg?

He will look like Rosenbaum, who was a pretty decent Lex even to people that weren't crazy about elseworld's stories of Smallville.

Yeah but there's a difference between putting bells and whistles on someone in a manip and simply making them bald. Bald is a universal, simplistic look. All I'm saying is he creeps me the hell out in those pics. Doesn't help he has crazy eyes going on.

I say bald. If it looks weird he has a bit to get it buzz cut length.

A 'stubble-headed' look would be much more fitting if they wanted to go with an Eisenberg Lex who doesn't have a full head of hair, but the 'egghead' look really doesn't work.

Edit:

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor wasn't bald in Superman the Movie until the very end, so a full-headed Lex could work. But it depends on the actor.

I'm in. I have no problem with his body, but Jesus this will be the most girly sounding Lex in history. But concerning the hair here's a thought, what if we just let Lex have hair?
