The thing that really annoys me is the Riddler comparisons. Like c'mon, you know you're only saying that because he has shoulder length red hair.
That doesn't change the performance.Once Lex kills someone (or orders someone's death) in cold blood on screen people will probably rethink their opinion of him. Humor is a great way to give a false sense of security...and I think Lex knows that.
That doesn't change the performance.
I just really want him to top off the performance with a statement of him saying
"Lex Luthor: The greatest criminal mind of all time."
You play the Otis theme from the Reeve movie and watch Jesse's Lex...fits so well.

This Lex is an energetic, young entrepreneur who doesn't fit in with the big business crowd. He's from another generation and is absolutely socially awkward. His demeanour reminds me of Jim Carrey's Nigma in BF
This Lex is an energetic, young entrepreneur who doesn't fit in with the big business crowd. He's from another generation and is absolutely socially awkward. His demeanour reminds me of Jim Carrey's Nigma in BF. By going younger and weird, they really contrast with Ben's older, broody Bruce. With Lex remaining a self made man, and Bruce largely inheriting his parent's fortune. They're opposites.
True respect can only be found in the full performance IMO. So to those who hate the feel of this Lex or how the Joker looks in SS...all I can say is WAIT, because you may end up loving it.
Yep because we haven't seen his full performance yet.
I'm waiting to see him lose his temper, he's been nothing but smug in the clips we've seen of him thus far. How is he going to react when his plans get foiled...that's what I'm waiting to see.
People who've encountered Max Landis and Max Landis himself, have a feeling that Eisenberg's Luthor mya be based on him...

The whole defense of "it's a facade" "it's a mask" is a weak argument to me.
He can have a facade and not make it that of a hyper active, little kid.
If you look at the DCAu Luthor there is a lot of him "wearing a mask" without it being extremely corny and out of place.
Also I still don't see how people think Lex, bald head or not is menacing. Maybe menacing in a, and I'm not trying to be funny or make a joke, in a pedophile or a potential mass shooter type of way. But not in the way Lex or a villain in this kinda movie should be
Hope to be proven wrong
Hackman and Spacey vibes?
Noooo.
There's a manic energy to this Luthor that we have not seen in live action.
I think it's definitely public Luthor, but he's obviously a little bit "crazy-smart", which I love. There's a dash of mad scientist here along with the corporate fellow.
To tell you the truth, all three of this versions of Lex seem like they could just be the same guy at different points in his life/different situations.
Eisenberg is young and eccentric. He really comes off as weird and a little goofy to me.
Hackman is the same, but older. But, for some reason likes to surround himself with idiots and/or unloyal people. Doesn't give a **** about killing people. In fact, he likes it.
Spacey is mellowed out because he isn't around idiots and/or unloyal people. Doesn't care about killing people.
They all like to make some reference to history, religion, and/or literature.
Such a beautiful line for a villain!
