Ep 8 - Wonder Woman/ Jessica Drew? :p :D

I think that's just a play on the abbreviation What Would Jesus Do.

In the shows case it'll probably stand for What Would Jessica Do.

Closest thing to a premiere date: Netflix says Jessica Jones is due out in 4th quarter 2015

Thanksgiving weekend or over the Christmas break would be best so I could binge it.

actually i just heard fall... the other day, from some news source.... so i expect october/nov

the weekend of October 10th would be exactly 6 months after Daredevil.

So that would be cool.

I'd say the former is more likely. They started having the DD teaser released around 2 months prior to it's April 10th debut so if Thanksgiving weekend is indeed the target then look for the first teaser to come out within a month from now.

I think we'd have had a teaser released a couple weeks ago if that was going to be the date. I think they want a 2 month marketing campaign like DD had since it worked so well over there.

I'd say the next thing they are going to give us will be an actual release date withing the next couple of weeks. I'm betting it'll be the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Probably the Friday right after the holiday.

True, however, isn't the success of Daredevil some built in marketing for future Netflix shows? The average joe doesn't know Jessica Jones from Jessica Drew. I'm not even going to argue that.

But, thanks to Daredevil, the average joe does understand that Marvel and Netflix teamed up, and good things happened. Whereas Daredevil had no precedence before it went forward, Jessica Jones will be "attached" to Daredevil's success, which might make a two-month marketing campaign not necessarily needed to get enough interest in the show.

That being said, I'm still not nearly as aggressive with my predictions as many of you on here. Given the fact that 100% of...well,everything has to be completed before it can air (which is not the case with traditional TV shows where a single episode is released each week), I'd be very surprised to see this launch before mid-November at the earliest. But with those extra couple of days off around Thanksgiving time, I would also be very happy to see it released by mid-November.

IMO it's a wash. Yes, JJ is better off due to DD's hit status which can only aid it. But it's still probably the most obscure IP that Marvel has ever attempted which means even fewer people have heard about it than even had heard about Ant-Man and GotG(which had several decades of history behind them). So they'll want to get the buzz a'brewing for this one, I think. It just doesn't help to start that machine up too early and so we wait but we sholdn't have to wait too much longer now. Within a month things'll be hopping. Keep in mind that JJ has powers that require more SFX work than DD did.

AoS season three doesn't come out until the end of September. I'd expect the first TV spot shortly thereafter.

I think it'll drop in December. Trailer in October.

Most of December is still technically in the fall. But my money's on November with marketing starting up in September.

I think the general audience doesn't know JJ, but what they knew of Daredevil before the show wasn't flattering at all, so JJ is actually in a better spot than DD imo.

I think sometimes the show being a "new" hero can be a benefit. There's a lot of people who may be behind on the Marvel-train, but as soon as JJ hits, those people will go into the show just as green as the hardcore fans, since we haven't seen JJ before. Sure, some people know the comics, but overall I think people enjoy that "fresh" factor, and I think it partly helped Guardians of the Galaxy become such a great hit.

DD went live about 4 months after it finished filming, JJ only finished filming a couple of weeks ago. Late Nov/December is most likely, going by a similar production schedule.

if you go by the technical dates.... but no one says fall and thinks of December... most people go by..

Cannot wait for a trailer in the next few months for this, really excited. :)

So far this year for the MCU I'd say Daredevil is leading the pack(quality/WOM-wise) between it, the 2 films and other 2 TV series but Jessica Jones could pull a late in the year upset and walk away with the crown yet so we'll see.

I'm listening to the Marvel podcast now. I think Krysten might just have confirmed this scene.

Hope it'll be a bit milder in the show
