Have smallville's guys dropped the ball with introducing jimmy ollson??

for a start in smallville he is supposed to be a twentysomething...yet in the proper superman he isnt about the same age as clark..he is a young kid intern type.
i can be happy with lois,lex etc making appearances...although how lois will explain not remembering him in the future i dont know...but i feel that the intro of jimmy is a step too far..what do you think?

Just saw the previews for Jimmy Olsen, thought he was going to be played by Shawn Ashmore at first but it is his twin brother Aaron Ashmore. Think they will have Clark thinking that this is the same guy who took his powers a few seasons ago who came back using an alias & has different hair color now?

I'm really wary of Jimmy Olsen, especially if they make him a regular. Personally, I think his primary interaction should be with Chloe and he shouldn't be regularly involved in Clark's story.

Well, I know that, but what I'm saying is that the smart thing to do would be for his interaction with Clark to be minimal at best. They shouldn't give him a role as large as they gave Lois. IMO, that'd be a mistake, but I'll wait and see how it turns out before I say "OMG ITZ GUNNA SUK!!!!1!!!".

consider Jimmy is (1) an intern photographer @ The Daily Planet[and clark will be going to The planet to see his sidekick/Krypto Hag -Chloe for information, you can bet Olsen will be their] (2) Now that Lois will be entering into The field of journalism, It more than likey Lois & Clark will team up following leads on stories and Chloe will send Jimmy along for the ride [as to help him get his job @ The Daily Planet as an official photographer/staff member of The Daily Planet .

Also i'm getting the feeling since the cast is only @ 7 right now [with John Schneider gone] and every year their's 8 in the cast, I believe Aaron Ashmore will join the cast .

And we can all pretty much guarantee there'll be an episode in which Clark, Lois, and Jimmy team up. I just don't think Jimmy should tag along on a regular basis, and I don't think that it's about time for Jimmy to be "Superman's pal." Jimmy should be Chloe's love interest, and therefore Clark's acquaintance at best.

That's just my opinion though. They'll probably go the exact opposite direction, which I think is unwise and it "jumps the gun" too much. Like I said, though, I'll wait until I see it in action before I do anything beyond give my opinion.

I think that's excatly were their heading with the introduction of Jimmy . To show how Jimmy becomes Superman's pal & Why He idolizes Lois & Clark in the future .

I say let the boy finally grow up. Clark is what, 37 or 38 right now, and Jimmy is still 16. Poor sob, he's been in puberty for 60 years.
