JJ Abrams/Eric Kripke team up for NBC thriller 'Revolution' - Part 1

Monroe: "I'm Batman"

:D

Shoulda had Charlie ask "Who?"

Eh. She wouldn't be aware of the films or TV series, but I'm sure there had to be some comics still floating around.

Aaron is so contradictory. I don't blame the [blackout]nanites or whatever he's controlling[/blackout] for being confused about his commands.

The thing is, Aaron is human, the nanites are an AI and can't understand human thinking ( yet ? ).

He finds out how to talk to them directly and so many problems are solved(including the freaking overarching premise of the entire show - getting the power back on), and he runs away only to have his girlfriend sit and explain half the obvious to him, 'maybe figure out what they want'
At some point Aaron stopped being an inquiring mind. Charlie I'd understand buy mr. invent google or whatever...sheesh.

Then he is being gunned down and he decides to hide himself and lady friend in a corner, instead of again asking his all powerful friends to at least help...I guess he didn't want anymore killing, I guess.

Then when out of options(and minutes too late), he gives the kill order, and after the body of the bad guy is fully scorched, so I'm guessing 10 minutes at least..the AI is sitting there waiting for him to ask the obvious, bring lady friend back to life. "oh yea" then he asks, then he commands but, "too late idiot we're done here, peace out"

this guy is a fool.

He did bring it on himself, that's the thing.

An X Files and Batman 89 reference in one episode! :D I loved the way Aaron said "Kill him....kill them all" it was so deliberate and calm. Miles arm is looking nasty, hope he doesn't lose it.

Dam Tom's missus is one cold hearted b**ch! He'll probably be President by the end of the season. :D

Monroe also references Ghostbusters.

I was thinking that Aaron would get the nanites to heal Miles' arm, guess not :(

Monroe is awesome, love that he has started calling people nick names, like steak puff :)

For any Breaking Bad fans here, did anyone notice Ted and Gus in the same train?

Me too but that will be the case no doubt for I don't see them going One Armed Swordsman with Miles.

Yeah, he made some mistakes but honestly all this nanites stuff can freak the hell out of one's mind. He is not the stupidest of the team.
Anyway, Miles will not lose his arm one way or another. I bet one virtual beer :) (if you're over 21 or legal age is lower in Canada ? )

Revolution Books Rocker Bret Michaels for Gig — Playing His Post-Apocalyptic Self
BY VLADA GELMAN

Revolution is rocking out.

Musician Bret Michaels will guest-star on Season 2 of the NBC drama as a post-apocalyptic version of himself, the network announced on Tuesday.

As first reported by EW.com, the Poison frontman will sing an acoustic version of the band’s ballad “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” in a 2014 episode.

“Bret is truly a great guy,” said creator Eric Kripke in a statement. “I’m a huge fan of his music and I’m thrilled he’s appearing on Revolution.”

This is not the first time the show has teamed up with a musical act. In Season 1, Kripke, a longtime Led Zeppelin fan, scored the rights to the rockers’ slow jam “Since I’ve Been Loving You” and the hit “Kashmir.”
:awesome:

Miles: "I know you, you're famous"

Bret Michaels: "I was once, sorta"

Points to anyone that can get the reference :D

Damn, I know it but I can't place it. :cmad:

The Postman with Kevin Costner. Tom Petty being the famous guy. :word:

Apparently this starts up again this wednesday. Wish they would've dropped a promo at the end of the most recent episode or something, just to give us an airdate. :o

New episode tonight.

that's not a bad casting and make-up job for the guy they got to play Monroe's son. looked like a younger version of him and sounded like him during his first lines to Monroe. I laughed a bit as Monroe kind of mocked his son's group. "woah... 30 men..."

Aaron's situation is interesting.

I'm guessing what Jason finds in the envelope is going to be related to what the patriots are doing to the oranges. maybe it's some way to reactivate those nanites and have them do their bidding?

Cocaine in the oranges to make the population addicted and dependent on the patriots

The return was kind of dragging it out to me. I get they want to build up the Patriots as the big bad of the season/series but there was so much not happening it just bored me. They are progressing so it's not like it's a stand still but it could pick it up a bit.

Poor Monroe was right in the middle of his "We can rule the Galaxy together, as Father and Son!" speech when his boy turned on him. Although if he's supposed to be 25 then when exactly did Monroe have sex with his Mom? :(

This ep had everything, the Mexican version of 'Sweet home Alabama', some Grandfather and Granddaughter bonding and the least subtle bit of poisoning ever!
