- His voice is impressively deep - a first of ANY onscreen Batman (except for maybe Adam West) that I can think of.
- His face IS capable of becoming menacing and scary.
- He is pretty tall, and his "build" can easily become one of the "bulkiest" Batmans we have ever seen on screen. Lets be honest, Bale isn't really that big.
- Infact, after watching him in action, I think the only down side to him is the age thing. and if the movie makers want someone young then we should be glad he doesn't look like a twelve year old. Anyone they choose will be young.

All I have to say is X-Men had Hugh Jackman, Famke Janssen, Tyler Mane, Rebecca Romijn... all unknowns (Rebecca was known for modeling only). Look how that franchise turned out. There is a reason these people are cast. Let's give them a chance, they are not gonna just **** this movie up... I think they learned from Catwoman.

Again apart from Tyler Mane , Romijin and Parks they were not unknown.

some ( like Jackman )were unknown in the Us.

Jannssen were known (discounting Goldeneye)for his b movies and had some credits for it.

Jackman was actually a respected actor and had an interesting mature look in a lot of his movie and was actually good.

I have to admit, those pictures made me feel a bit better. Broad chest and neck. Deep voice. Put him next to Brody, they look the same age, even though Brody is 27 and he is 21. He's not my ideal, but I suppose I would be willing to give it a try.

Stick him next to a 5'9" muscle-less Superman, however, and that's a whole other thing.

Alright guys, when I first saw a picture of armie...next to his incredibly unmasculine name.
I laughed at the notion of him as Batman...

STOP RIGHT THERE!

First off, when you hear the name Armie Hammer, you first think of a household name that represents strength and masculinity. You think of this:

I think Popeye (one of the toughest guys around) used this in one of his cartoons while flexing his muscles (I keep a box of it in my fridge just to keep it from smelling bad)... and speaking of tough guys, Armie Hammer is the son of Michael Hammer, whose name is similar to another famous fictional tough guy:

This guy got all the girls and was a great detective (probably not as great as the Batman, but who is?). Armie also sounds like the military title for the group of armed fighting men. Armie Hammer is not an unmasculine name at all. I would have to beg to differ with you on your comment.

Another important thing was that they surrounded those 'unknowns' with award winning actors from both film and theater like Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Bruce Davison and Anna Paquin.Hopefully that will be the case with JL's cast but right now it's not looking that way. At least where the main heroes are concerned.

I want to know why we still haven't heard a thing from WB. I'm really tired of 'confirmations' from reliable sources.

I've spoken to several people today and so far nobody can confirm that Gale was cast as Wonder Woman. I was told by 3 different people that it was down to Gale and another model named Adriana Lima but nobody has heard that a decision was made. So I did a google search for Lima and if Miller insists on using a model and not an actress, she looks like a far better choice in my opinion. 5' 10" tall and Brazilian.
