Yeah, but the humans in TF were just that. They weren't "iconic" characters.

Ever since Donner, the philosophy seems to be to cast iconic characters with unknown actors and surround them with a known supporting cast.

It's true that they weren't iconic but what i was getting at is they still took the time to cast well, here it is doubly important.

That a rhetorical? LOL I can tell you with utmost certainty that Tom Welling would cost ten times (and then some) what Megan Gale could even dream to make for JL. The dude makes close to three million a year just for SV. I'd venture a guess (I could be wrong) that Welling would cost even more than Duhamel to cast in JL. Not that I would complain, of course...

I'm not sure who would cost the most out of Tom and Josh but combined they'd be little more than 6M, compare that with hiring actual movie stars and you get the middle ground IMO.

The whole "you must not get the sexx0rs if you don't find the actress i like attractive" is the same lame ass argument those that supported Maggie Gyllenhaal's casting made, stop it, it doesn't work, some of us feel Gale is masculine looking, bottom line.

Thunder, you in particular need to cool your jets over this issue.

Gale doesn't have a man-face per se, but there's something "off" about her that makes it look weird. I can't put my finger on it, but it definitely is her face.

The Wonder Woman casting is very delicate ground. Miller cannot make all fans happy. However, I am glad we got someone who looks like a greek goddess and an Amazon warrior, instead of a teen titan (MEW)...or some "cliche" and obvious casting like Jessica Biel, whom everyone expects. I am excited about what Gale will do with the role. Just imagining a tiara on her gives me a smile... So instead of complaining, let's proceed unto the stage of acceptance and start looking at the good she and other cast members can offer instead of complaining. And don't say you will not see the movie, that is just plain childishness... cause we will all be there... opening night...and save judgments at least til the first Teaser... and THEN tell me if ur still not gonna line up for the movie... hehehe I mean look at Keaton... I was so depressed back in the year, but then when I saw that stare and that cowl on him in the first preview on Entertainment Tonight ... dropping down from the ceiling to rescue Kim Basinger with his huge gun firing lzip lines at the opposite walls, I just BELIEVED! Don't Hate... Appreciate!
