Proof?I spoke to someone who was working on the JL movie in Sydney. She was pretty much working within the production. She had been given a week's notice last week. She said that the list on imdb was correct except for Porter (who is listed as Superman). She didn't want to say anything else about the cast.
It's not much but...
At the time I spoke to her (Friday) she still thought it was delayed, not cancelled and didn't know what was going on, just that she would be working until this Thursday.
That's fine. I guess I can see why. It's disappointing some of you are so rude though. Must be very jaded around here...still not buyin it
Megan Gale quits catwalk for silver screen
Wendy Caccetta and Claire Davies, STM January 19, 2008 06:00pm
THE international modelling career that began when Megan Gale was a Perth teenager will end next month when she quits the catwalk and sets her sights on conquering the silver screen.
Gale, 32, has finally confirmed the news first revealed by The Sunday Times' Perth Confidential in November that she has been cast as Wonder Woman in George Miller's coming blockbuster, Justice League of America.
"I still can't believe it,'' Gale said. ``I have been infatuated with Wonder Woman since I was a teenager.''
Gale will remain the face of David Jones department stores and will be in Perth for the retailer's autumn-winter collection launch on March 6.
But she will walk her last runway at the show in Melbourne on February 27.
Gale said the decision to quit was made last year.
"It's been on my mind for a couple of years and last August I thought long and hard about it,'' she said.
"This is a big deal for me. Catwalk is the first thing I ever did and it started in Perth, but I decided it was inevitable. At some stage every model has to step off the catwalk.''
Though Gale is considered old in an industry dominated by teenagers, she said her age was not a consideration.
She has been with David Jones for seven years and says her new role as ``brand ambassador'' will include being more involved in the retailer's business.
Meanwhile, she has stepped up her fitness regimen ahead of her Wonder Woman role and will also learn how to fight and wield deadly weapons.
Gale said she had known since October that she had the part in the Warner Bros film, but was sworn to secrecy.
The movie will be directed by Miller, of Happy Feet fame, but the start of filming in Sydney has been delayed by the US writers' strike.
Gale said she was a big fan of American actor Lynda Carter, who donned the gold-plated bustier, knee-high boots and star-spangled bloomers to play Wonder Woman in the 1970s TV series.
"I've been a fan of Wonder Woman since I was a teenager,'' Gale said. ``People used to tell me I looked like Lynda Carter.
"It was always a bit of a fantasy. It was never going to be a reality for me, but it kind of found me and I'm a big believer in fate and destiny.
"Even if the writers' strike goes on forever, for me, the fact that I've been cast as Wonder Woman is enough.''
Five of Perth's hottest young models have been short-listed to join Gale on the catwalk in Sydney.
The elite group will be flown there next month for the David Jones collections launch.
Though the final selection will not be confirmed until later this week, DJ stylist Kelvin Harries revealed his five favourites: Emily Cattermole, Stacey Monaghan, Erin Thomasz, Paris Fontana and Georgi Aberdein.
I'm not going to post proof only because that person wasn't supposed to say anything. I don't care if you don't believe me but I will just say what I know if anyone cares to believe it. I don't usually go around saying I know so and so and I have connections to JL... I usually don't. But I live in Sydney and study and work with people in arts and entertainment. I ran into an old friend who works in the industry who told me they had just lost their job (I had just read that JL production had been delayed) and the conversation inadvertantly turned to what their job was, which was Justice League. They didn't volunteer this info. or brag about it, I asked them, in the off chance that it was for JL.
Screw you![]()

You just didn't post anything that was new. It's all rehashed info we've already seen before. I am not sure how excited you want me to be.![]()
You realize IMDB info is put in there by users right?![]()

I think they should cast nightwing, he would bring alot more depth to the movie, if done well![]()
doing a nightwing movie would be alot of issues cause there is so much history with batman and him being robin before and u dont want to skip out on all the history.I think they should cast nightwing, he would bring alot more depth to the movie, if done well![]()

Mattlocka, everyone is glad you're not part of the Casting groups.
About it: Rumors of IESB says the movie is going to happen with a new plot, a new cast and, possibly, a new director.
That is quite a rumor, there. That is literally a COMPLETELY new direction.Mattlocka, everyone is glad you're not part of the Casting groups.

Sure there are tax issues but the other major issues was that WB Execs including Jeff Robinov have is that they are not sold on this cast. They are playing nice by saying that they want the cast to comeback once production picks up again. That is 100% bull ****. Maybe a couple comeback but DJ and Baking Soda boy will not be back if they decide to move forward on this.
Does anyone think that George Miller is coming back? This is only an opinion and nothing confirmed but everyone at the studio level believes that he is gone.
If and when JLA get back into production I believe will be with a different cast, director and storyline.
