JL Casting Call Update

am i the only one who thinks that SR look and tone of the movie was more Batman and the look and tone of BB was more Superman....jus look at the cities and tone of the movies....they should be swithced to me, but i think supes could fit in wit BB cause gotham in BB was how i pictured metropolis...futuristic in a since..and metropolis in SR was how i pictured Gotham kinna dark...but supes flyin through gotham in BB would work perfectly to me...it would give everyon in gotham a shock if u will

It's funny you would mention that, cause BB Gotham as been used to play Superman Metropolis in Smallville. Everytime the show the city shot of Metropolis in Smallville they show the Narrows and you can clearly see that.

well that was used a few times for a rainy metroplis. Also funny thing in season6 episode "Zod" they used some of statlites from batman and robin film in the episode.

I never said realism. I said Version.
Which would most likely lead to something more realistic. Sorry, but i gotta disagree, it works for batman, but it wouldnt work for superman

I think it would be an interesting challenge to try to ground all the DC characters in partial realism somehow.

Realism in the sense of versimilitude (a logical, science behind everything that happens). More like Star Trek, less like Star Wars.

Whatever? Do you really want Superman to have some big ass armoured suit or something? And people complained about SR :whatever:

NO just want Superman to have a big ass! HA!
I want Superman to look like Superman.:supes:

For SR i thought routh had the look for supes. Just have a different hair style and better suit would have made him look a bit better. But for the film I did like him, the story is what killed the movie for me.

I totally agree. I have no problem with Routh and hopes he remain Superman in the sequel; and quite frankly, wish he could be the MoS in JLA.

Yea if i would have been fine if routh was in the film give him a better superman suit, and fans probably would have liked him more. But from what we heard miller didnt ever talk to him or consider him in the film.

Sounds like he wanted to move completlely away from SR.

I know WebHead, that may be due to WB wanting JLA in a different continuity. IMO, I think it would be a big mistake having two continuity... but hey, that's just me.

I Like the ''Superman Returns'' suit. Just put RED instead of Brown and change the haircut and Routh become THE new-age Superman.

And the Batman movies aren't realist. Are credible. Instead, you would't have a Batman at all. And, with some good writers (And some Comic Book prequels), all the JL members become credible.

The only thing missing on the Returns suit was that it needed a BIGGER \S/, other than i had no issues with it.

You didn't think Routh had the look?

Yes I thought Routh did a fine job. My point was the guy saying Superman in some kind of Batmanish armor was not Superman.

For the record I thought that Nolan gave us a Batman that was more like at least what I picture as Batman. and he might do the samething with Superman Not realism just a more serious Superman less campy Lex Luthor and so on.
Back to Routh, I thought if they change his suit the larger s open the neck not so tight that it looks like it chokes him, more Red, and fix his hair where it parts on the right as Clark and parts on the left as Superman to give just one more thing to change his look besides glasses.
that would be the way I vision Superman.

I have been a Superman fan for 40 years.
batman is my second fav.

MEGAN GALE is one step closer to hanging up her stilettos after taking her second-last sashay down a catwalk at David Jones's autumn-winter 2008 launch in Sydney last night.

The Royal Hall of Industries at Moore Park was transformed into a Japanese winter wonderland, with bare cherry trees lining the runway and images of a snow-capped Mount Fuji and Tokyo streets playing on giant screens.

There was even a tiny sprinkle of faux snow on Gale and her fellow models.

Some of Australia's leading designers, including Collette Dinnigan, Akira Isogawa and Jodhi Meares - who last year sold her Tigerlily swimwear label to Billabong for between $3 million and $5 million - were among the 600 guests. Delta Goodrem, Brian McFadden, So You Think You Can Dance judges Bonnie Lythgoe and Jason Coleman, and Darcey Bussell, a principal ballerina at the Royal Ballet in London, were also front-row.

Gale's last runway show will be at the department store's Melbourne winter launch on February 27.

"Last August I really thought about my future on the runway and for the first time there was a voice saying it was time to give it away," she said. "I do really love it but it was inevitable that I would eventually have to stop. Best do it now while I'm on a high and it's still a successful collaboration." Gale is contracted to David Jones as its brand ambassador until 2009 but plans to extend that contract for the introduction of its credit card.

She will also appear as Wonder Woman in George Miller's film Justice League Of America.

Miller sat front row next to Gale's boyfriend, the comedian Andy Lee.

"I can't say a word about the costume as it's top secret," Gale said. "All I'll say is the [screen writers'] strike has allowed me the time to work with a dialect and acting coach and to get into shape for that costume."

There is no feeling of retail doom and gloom for David Jones, which increased its profit as much as 25 per cent in the first half of the fiscal year. Profit for the full year is expected to be up as much as 21 per cent to $132.5 million.

"We're expecting a good season," said Colette Garnsey, David Jones's group general manager of merchandise.

I imagine she is very excited, all of these new articles about the cast (mainly Megan) give me hope for the film.
