Nothing is official yet until WB says so in a press release. And Common is good actor so he's one i HOPE is in the movie

Well...for what it's worth...at least he looks like he could play late twenties..his face doesn't look as young in that video as it does inthe still shot...add a cowl for most if not all the film...maybe not too bad....

I'll give him a chance because I'll admitt, I wasn't that too enthusiastic about Bale playing Batman in Begins, and he turned out doing a superb job. Who knows, he might do a great job.

I think you're right on.

I mean...I think with Bale, he had extensive work prior to Batman, since he was a kid. Meaning that even though he was not a 'big star' yet, you can see his body of work and see what he can do as an actor.

I think here, it's a complete mystery. Not only that, you can't help it but to compare Hammer (if it's true) to Bale. I'm not talking about comparing Chris Reeve to Brandon Routh, but literally comparing two MODERN DAY BATMEN.

If that Zoe girl is really Iris, how in hell is Brody suppose to be her Nephew?

It is very easy for her to me Wally's aunt. Her brother (Wally's dad) can be cast as 20 years older then her.

My wife's nephew is 18 and she is 25. So it will make sense in the movie too.

What if the list was reversed and Hammer is actually Superman? Not that Cotrona should be Bats, or any member of the JL, for that matter. A younger looking Superman wouldn't be as bad since he basically ages far more slowly than the other Leaguers.

Yeah, I almost (almost) feel bad for him in a way. There is a very good chance that he will be ripped to shreds. Hammer is going up against (in a way) on of the finest actors of today. Honestly, unless he wows the hell out of EVERYONE, he won't survive.

Same here. I could get behind Hammer as Supes - and I'm a huge Welling supporter (understatement). Hammer doesn't have that kind of Greek god beauty I normally associate with Superman and see in actors like Welling, but Hammer IS a huge guy, and he doesn't have harsh or overly ethnic-looking features either. So I'm down with that. Dye his hair nice and dark and we'll be good to go.

Cotrona as Bats though? Meh. If he kept his cowl on the entire time and wore lifts in his boots, maybe. I'm just not seeing him as *any* of the JL characters, never mind Batman - or Superman for that matter. <<<shudders>>>

I really hope if Hammer ends up playing Batman, that they'll reduce his role in the film. I didn't want the film to center on Batman anyway, I want as much screen time as possible for JL members we haven't seen.

Given the story details so far, that's probably not gonna happen.

I'm fine with the casting of GL, WW, and Wally, and J'onn will probably be motion capture, so hopefully he'll be cool...it's too bad Routh and Bale can't round out that cast.

Yea i would have loved routh and bale in the film instead of half of the crap young names we been hearing and all that. I guess i can live with hammer if he ends up as bats hopefully they make him look a little older if he has a bunch of unmasked scenes in the film. I do hope that dj guy is not supes nothing against ethnicities and all that we need some one who is more white looking to play supes and someone who is atless 6'3 in height since supes is meant to be 6'4 right and also with hammer being 6'5 and in suit will be a few more inches we need someone closer to his height for supes cause it will look odd to have a huge bats and a short supes. Even with camera angles and lifts in boots for dj if he is supes there will be a difference in height that will be noticably.
