There just HAD to be plenty of "ZOMGZ! GREEN LANTERNZ!" references on the forums after this episode.

He did wear the colors and had shot green rays from his hand. BTW the guy is only 6'2. I think you would need someone a little taller to play Superman, especially in this picture.

You would be considered fortunate if you got a starting position on a pro basketball team at that height. It seems like they are going to upgrade the heights over at DC since they've casted a Batman (alegedly) who is 6'5". Superman should be very close to Batman's height or taller since they have often posed as each other in the past.

Not that I recall. Green is used a lot on Smallville.

They could make it work if they had to. SV has gotten pretty creative with that since they have to compensate for Welling, who's easily 6'5 with boots.

But if Cotrona is cast in JL, fahgehtabowtit. LOL They'll have to get Peter Jackson's DP to compensate for Hammer's Batman.

The Wonder Woman casting is very delicate ground. Miller cannot make all fans happy. However, I am glad we got someone who looks like a greek goddess and an Amazon warrior, instead of a teen titan (MEW)...or some "cliche" and obvious casting like Jessica Biel, whom everyone expects. I am excited about what Gale will do with the role. Just imagining a tiara on her gives me a smile... So instead of complaining, let's proceed unto the stage of acceptance and start looking at the good she and other cast members can offer instead of complaining. And don't say you will not see the movie, that is just plain childishness... cause we will all be there... opening night...and save judgments at least til the first Teaser... and THEN tell me if ur still not gonna line up for the movie... hehehe I mean look at Keaton... I was so depressed back in the year, but then when I saw that stare and that cowl on him in the first preview on Entertainment Tonight ... dropping down from the ceiling to rescue Kim Basinger with his huge gun firing lzip lines at the opposite walls, I just BELIEVED! Don't Hate... Appreciate!

Yup. I guess people don't want take any truth from the articles Variety and HR have put forth over the past few weeks stating that casting had not yet been completed and Warner execs were unsure on how to move with the project considering there is a strike and they have no shooting script. Yet, they will believe the countless rumors IESB and Moviehole puts out on a daily basis on how casting is 100% locked, that we will be getting an official announcement today, yesterday, this weekend, by the end of the week etc.. and that this project is moving full steam ahead.

At the moment that's true. So long as the strike is in effect they can't get a shooting script or lock a starting date for filming. Eventually the options they have on the cast and the casting deadline will expire as well, and that's gonna send this thing into a sh**storm.

I dont have near as much hope for this as I once had..All we've gotten for news lately is rumors, nothing from W.B..
Looks to me that if this project was so huge, (plus its supposed to be their tent pole for 09') then they wouldnt be able to get stuff out fast enough to the public, not to mention filming is *supposed* to start in two months..

Jessica Biel is in talks to lasso up as Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.' all-star superhero film "Justice League of America."

Christian Bale and Brandon Routh -- Warner's reigning Batman and Superman, respectively -- are not expected to join the production.

The studio declined comment, saying that it prefers to announce an entire cast rather than piecemeal deals.

"Justice League," which is penned by Kieran and Michele Mulroney, could help ramp up a Wonder Woman spinoff, which has long been in development at the studio, with Joel Silver producing.

Biel's recent credits include "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" and "The Illusionist."

Watchman and Speed Racer are 2 other big WB projects. WB didn't confirm anything until about 2-3 weeks until filming began. I wouldn't expect anything else from JL.

I guess there was a time when I use to read variety articles when they would state something and 95% of time it would be true. Variety wouldn't bother to say biel is in talks if they didn't believe it wouldn't happen. Heck they were 4-5 actress who were also in talks, but why didn't they mention them?
