JL Casting Call Update

Oh great, another "insider." Care to mention how you know any of this. I don't mean to accuse you, but I've seen way too many people claiming to have inside information regarding this movie.

The script is nowhere near ready to be filmed. Fact. Just because some internet site says that it starts filming on February 11th doesn't mean it will. If it does go ahead there is no chance that the cameras will start rolling on that date.

where does it say fact the script is not ready. Reports from miller said the script was not affected vy the wga strike and they had it already done before the strike started.

I am telling you that I know for a fact that the script is not ready to be filmed. The budget is not big enough for what is in it at the moment. I'm sure that Miller will find a way around it but the strike is making things difficult. I don't care if you don't believe me and I don't have tons of info on the film but I am close to someone working fairly high up on it. Whenever I see this person I want to sit there asking a million nerdy questions about the story and the cast but I feel stupid doing it if the only conversation we have is about Justice League. The same way that it was when he worked on Superman Returns and The Matrix sequels ... no matter how much I want to say how lame the cast is etc. I feel rude doing it.

Also I remember being on the IMDB boards back in 2001 and no one believed me that the Matrix Reloaded script ended with To Be Continued. I don't have any reason to lie and I don't have to prove anything I am just letting you know what I know. If I was gonna make something up I would come up with something better than what I have said.

I revealed who is playing MM just be grateful that you have something new.

IIRC, it was either Variety or HR that stated awhile back that WB execs were not sure how to proceed due to the writers strike because they did not have a shooting script for the film.

i remember that too, but miller then on some site/paper in down under said the script wasnt affected by the wga strike.

George Miller said his new film Justice League of America wasn't affected by the recent writers' strike in the US and is expected to start shooting in the new year, under a new name. However, Miller wouldn't comment on casting, including rumours of Megan Gale joining the film.

well if they did makeup prosptectics like in hellboy movie wouldnt matter on his age. And they could also do what they did in x3 with professor x and magneto using cgi to make them look younger.

Assuming the film gets made - and that's still a big assumption right now AFAIC - if Cotrona ends up as Superman, I'll have ZERO interest in seeing the pic. Casting Cotrona is a WTF?!? casting decision that trumps Halle Berry as Catwoman a hundred times over.

I thought u said u got his name removed from the casting...

I did. It's not instantaneous like Wikipedia. Information is actually reviewed on IMDb before changes are made. That doesn't make it any more accurate mind you, but it's less haphazard than other information sites.

Yeah, I guess. It just seems odd to me, when they could just cast a younger dude. I'm sure some young enough actor who doesn't requires CGI can play J'onn.

yea out of the current names for supes dj or cudmore i rather have cudmore as supes yes he is a bit taller then supes but he probably still has a bigger build on him then dj currently and if hammer who is 6'5 is bats cudmore is 6'8 and they would look good standing next to each other. Then hammer and dj.

Regarding this film, I think its pretty safe to say its coming out in 09. With all the little updates we get, half the cast being in Australia, Miller saying script wasn't effected, etc.

The only article that said it may fall apart is the variety one, but even that was about a month or 2 ago, with many reports pointing that this film will be made since then.

So you are willing to believe some rumors for this film(and I call them all rumors until WB officially releases a statement) but not willing to believe some of the other rumors just because you may not like the choice? Every article that mentioned DJ linked him to Superman. I don't understand what your basis is for believing some of the rumors and not the other ones. Just whatever you like I guess?

i dont know nothing no snapper carr role but i rather have him as that role then supes or bats. I may not like armie for bats but i am warming up to him as bats. For supes i hope they dont screw with the casting there cause supes/bats/ww the trinity will make or break the film for some fans. Myself i may not like some of who might be who but i will wait to judge them more once set photos/ suit pics and footage is seen of them. So i could judge the people more fairly.

I don't believe every rumor that comes by, but I try to believe the logically ones. Theres no doubt he auditioned for this movie, but not every article says he is Sups. For Example, that Jayne lady said he tested for Bats, never for Sups. Some reports thought Proctor was auditioning for Superman as well, but if was for Wally in the end. Having said that, if DJ is Sups, hes got my support. If Miller picked him, than hes got to see something, so theres no reason for me to not give him a chance...
