LOL! It's an expression: "Strike while the iron is hot" means to take advantage of favorable circumstances while they last. The image is from a blacksmith's shop; the smith can shape iron only by striking it with his hammer when it is red hot.

Well, the best response I can offer is an excerpt from an interview between DC's Gregory Noveck and Voices from Krypton back in October......what makes this time the time when the iron is hot? What are the favorable circumstances for a JL film now? What are they taking advantage of?
Unfortunately, that's the best I can do. I would imagine there's more to it than that, and it's probably financially based. Decisions like this usually are.GREGORY NOVECK: The reason that Justice League is powering forward first [before MOS] is because the script came in and it was phenomenal.
VOICES FROM KRYPTON: It's really that good?
GREGORY NOVECK: It is, and that very rarely happens in Hollywood on a movie of this scale, and when it does you have no choice but to say, "We'd better catch lightning in a bottle and go!" All of a sudden, six months later, who knows what's going to happen? You want to hold on to those writers, you've got massive interest from directors, you land someone like George Miller, so you go.
[snip]
VOICES FROM KRYPTON: Earlier you mentioned how strong the Justice League script was, which I'm glad to hear, because, again, the Internet is alive with people screaming that given the speed at which it's coming together, there's no way it can be good.
GREGORY NOVECK: No, we're rushing it because the script came in so good. There was no mandate that we had to go and make this movie. What created the mandate was you had a strong script with all of these characters and there's a window, so you go and do it.

Noveck did cite Singer being off doing other films and hence not being available, so it could be as simple as that. I tend to think there IS quite a bit more to what's going on though; how could there not be? Singer's writers ditched him and the project like a cheap ****e, so either Singer told them not to wait around, or they didn't want to do a follow-up to Two Men, a Reporter and a Baby.Obviously there is the uncertainty with how/when/if you continue with the Superman films after SR didn't meet studio expectations. That is maybe the biggest factor of all. I'm sure it's a mixture of both, I hope for our sakes that it has more to do with the script being good, than with fear over making a sequel to SR.

...mmmmm this eggnog is good tonight.![]()
Very diplomatically said!If there is any unhappiness with singer's franchise at WB, and there apears to be (at least from some execs) I would totally expect someone involved with the studio to downplay said unhappiness in an interview.

So does this mean that Welling is still in it? Is that what she's saying?![]()

Huh? LOL! Where, Docker? So does this mean that Welling is still in it? Is that what she's saying?![]()
HAHAHAHA!!! It gets me every time.Is this a trick question?![]()

OH! The "no comment" replies. Yeah, that's definitely interesting, if only in a "WTF - are they dumb?" sort of way. Seems like it would be just as easy to say "no" and get the caller to stop pestering them, but maybe that's too simple, I dunno? Hell, if I were the secretary, I'd just lie and get it over with... "NO! Now go away!" Wouldn't that make more sense? LOLBecuase she's always saying that. Plus no comment from his agent isn't saying "no he's not" it means they can't say he is or isn't at this time.

The script is nowhere near ready to be filmed. Fact. Just because some internet site says that it starts filming on February 11th doesn't mean it will. If it does go ahead there is no chance that the cameras will start rolling on that date.
