Jumping the gun a little with sequel talk aren't we?

WB and Miller are thinking of this as a franchise(of course how well the first film does financially will ultimately dictate this). But Miller has been quoted as saying he wants younger/unknown actors for the roles so that they can grow into the characters(alluding to sequels).

Yea i was saying the whole 2nd, 3rd film if this one happens and does well to have wb do seqels those are the threats i would like to see in 2nd and 3rd films. And Rob-el the eva green thing is a little old, we have been talking about it for a couple of days now supermanhomepage is just a bit late at posting that.

I still say it way to early for talking sequels from WB, Miller and fans, we don't even know who the hell they've cast, and filming is meant to start in like 5-6 weeks.

yea i know way to early, as i said in my post i would have darkseid be a third film ultimate threat and a 2nd movie be legion of doom/Secret Society as the threat. Hopefully we actually get something reguarding the film or the cast when the new guy becomes president on the first, not holding my breath he will actually say anything just hoping maybe it will then.

Yea it blows there is nothing else to really talk about right now. But we might get lucky and if the new president does reveal anything when he talks about the studios plans we will then have something to talk about. I have my fingers crossed that we get something for the film but as i said not holding my breath because we dont have any clue what the guy will talk about when he becomes president.

I think the new president is the likely cause of casting and other info being held up, there could be many other viarables, since there has been at least one high profile audition as of late...Either way, all signs indicate the film is moving forward, I have a feeling we'll start getting some official info in the next few weeks.

I Wrote a Script for a JLA movie, sshowing that Lord, how all the other humans, can't impeach of have fear of gods that can explode the hole world with heat vision. And when the whole world embraces de Heros without reguards, it's his mission to use the OMACS to save humanity from itself.

Hahaha! Am I kidding? Who knows. But I don't think that WB should jump the gun on this movie. How can you plan for sequels if the first one isn't done. And even if this movie does well, who's to say that the sequel won't have LL or Joker being the main villian? you know how WB thinks. They want their X-men and I guess trying to "humanize" their heroes is the only way they see fit.

I thought that there still wasn't an actual shooting script. With the strike still going on, wouldn't that be holding up that end of it? I know I saw something about that on the boards somewhere, but I don't know if that's just hearsay. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think there must still be some major portions of the movie that we still don't have a clue about.

First, based on widely held beliefs (and the sides for casting), there are 3 female roles - WW, Talia, and Iris. Since Palmer was seen in Australia at the hotel, and Kazan confirmed first-hand to Moviehole about being Iris, that means that there is either a role that we don't know about for either Palmer or Green (meaning Green might be Talia and Palmer is someone else, or Palmer is Talia and Green auditioned for someone else), or Gale isn't WW like we thought.

One of the reasons I think there might be another role that we didn't know about is because for the sides that were posted for JLA casting, there were 3 female options and 5 male options. But in the movie, there is going to be Supes, Bats, Green Lantern, 2 Flashes, Aquaman, MM, and Max Lord. That's 8 guys. And even if MM is CGI, that's still 7.

So . . . any thoughts as to what I'm missing?

According to either HR or Variety(I can't remember which one), they stated there was no shooting script and that may hold things up because of the strike. However, they could always get some Joe Schmoe ghost writer to fix up the script under the radar, so I don't see how that could really hold things up.

Plus, some Australian newspaper or website claimed that Miller said the project would not be effected by the strike but, we don't have him officially quoted as saying this. So, until we get something official from WB, you are free to believe what you want to.

well we domnt know if HR and Varierty are right about the script, because a few weeks after those reports miller said in an aussie paper the script was done and was not affected by the wga strike like you said. The biggest problem is we dont know what is going on with the project.

yea i is, but that jlu episode was pretty good. But yea hopefully this doesnt end up like that. I dont really see the problem with making the characters be older/mature and all that.
