Well keep waiting. The WB wont say anything official. Like Matt said, there was no official news on Clooney not coming back as Batman, or that Batman Triumphant wasn't being made. And they got further along in that movie.

And again, Latino Review is pretty spot on. They only have made one mistake, and it was more the WB misleading them with a fake script. But the fact is, they have been pretty accurate and if they say Routh it not going to be Supes, and they kept their mouth shut due to DC asking them too, then take it to the bank. The reason they are coming out now is because the cat was let out of the bag by Variety.

Time will tell. That movie is a long ways off anyway, anything can happen, and plans can always change. I just hope Routh gets another shot.

Well you will be waiting a long time. And the actors for JLA are at a hotel right now in Sydney, and the sets for JLA are still going up. While SR sequel, nothing.
 
WB will be REAAAAAALLY stupid if they recast Routh for MOS. I mean seriously, he was the best part of SR, and now they want to replace him with the rumored DJ Cotrona? GRRR!
 
well who knows what the heck is really going on. Hopefully dj isnt supes cause come on they would have to see he is totally wrong for supes of hammer is bats. They dont want to **** superman twice in a row.
 
whats with all the, DJ Cotrona, hate just cause the guys not 6'5",
clearly, if, IF, they picked him (despite his height) there was something, much bigger behind there decision then just looks and size, I am actually rather intrigued by him as a pick, cause (agian IF) he was picked based on his audition, he must of really nailed what they were looking for, in they supes

like with Hammer as bats, they weren't out to find a 6'5" 21 y.o.
but, thats who they found

so, if (IF) DJ was the best (acting, and presents,... wise) of those who auditioned, would you really rather they have gone with a less talented candidate, just casue they were taller?

now, I personally don't know much of anything about Cotrona, so, I can't say either way, on his acting, or i am I trying to defend him as an actor (especial since we don't even know if he has the part or not) I am just saying in this general, with faith in the casting crew, and believe (until I see some actually footage, promo shoots, or hear more about the storyline, that changes my mind other wise) in they choices, as being what they feel is best for the project (which their relying on, and want to be successful)
I am going to reserve my judgment

Speaking of DC Comics pics, it is highly unlikely that Bryan Singer will return to shoot the next Superman movie. (The director is finishing up Tom Cruise’s Nazi film Valkyrie, and prepping The Mayor of Castro Street). The next Superman we will see on the big screen will not be Brandon Routh, but a younger Superman among a cast of youthful superheroes in The Justice League. That movie will likely not be shot, however, until after the WGA strike is resolved. Warners is so happy with Dark Knight that their fondest hope is that Nolan will return to do another Batman.- from themovieblog.com
 
Well if anything it's good to know the Bat franchise will head on the right track.
 
Even though I am upset that Brandon may not be returning to play Superman I am happy that we may finally get a reboot. I think SR is a good movie and I would love to see a sequel but if they don't do a sequel then I think it was a good movie that closed the book on the Donner's Superman era.

That being said I am happy about the news of a possible reboot because it may finally give the fans the Superman they were hoping for much like how Batman Begins did. However I would just redo the whole movie and instead making it a branch off from JLA do an origin film or atleast make JLA an origin film for the Justice League that way we could have some what of a fresh start and like Spider-Man and Batman Begins see the birth of the villains not just them already there.
 
Bah. They should use Routh in Justice League. A shame, he did a good job in Superman Returns. No way in hell DJ Cotrona is cast as Superman. That would be a worse casting then the almost-casting of Nicholas Cage and Sylvester Stallone as the man of steel.

I think, of the rumored cast, that Armie Hammer will be Superman.
 
I figured that would be what would happen. (actor that plays superman in J.L., would get the next solo superman film)
 
Well the rumor is all the heroes are suppose to over the solo series including Batman. So I will not be surprise if this news turns out to be true.
 
Well i think all the jl heroes will probably get solo films besides jla batman since we have the current batfilms and nolan will most likely do a third one. We will just have to wait and see whats going to happen.
 
Well if smallville filming is done in a week or two and the strike isnt over then he would be free to film during the rumored feb-june time frame since smallville will be in hiatus.

WB is not moving forward though until the writers strike is over, according to Variety. And then I believe there is supposed to be an actor's strike in June. Can someone confirm this?

That Warner will wait after the end of the WGA strike to start filming is unconfirmed.
And the SAG strike (probable not certain) will only involve SAG actors, so not the Australian (or French) ones.

So DJ Cotrona, Adam Brody, Arm and Hammer, Common etc are not SAG actors?
 
well flaw the thing is we dont know who is telling the truth is the film really affected by wga strike or is it all ready to go and just trying to officially sign an actor or two still. Yea there is talks SAG actors might be going on strike in june so if that happens JLA has to start in feb march at the lastest so they can have a few months of filming done before the SAG strike happens. If SAG strikes i doubt it will last as long as WGA has been going. Heck look at the theater/broadway strike it only lasted 19 days. I think the studios and what not would cave faster for actors.
 
I dont know if they are SAG actors, most actors in us and some other countries are SAG cause there is lots of benefits you get being SAG then non SAG.
