Job Interview Tomorrow! Need advice of all sorts.

Isn't Blockbuster going down the tube? Bad idea methinks
Indeed they are, as a matter of fact, they just shut down about 25% of the Blockbusters in town. But the one I'm applying to is one of the more popular establishments in town so I figure I got at least a couple months worth of work before the world goes completely digital or something. And like LS and Bamfer said, work is better then no work. At least I have some previous knowledge about the product I'm selling and will be getting some "real world" experience from it.

Smart on your part, Ego. That's what I did. God I wish I still worked there. :/

Suits are the first sign that someone is up to no good.

You honestly assume I don't know that, don't you?

Well, to be frank, I'm not assuming I know what you know. I'm merely telling Altered Ego what I know. After all, he's the one that posed the question. ;)

I'm just saying, don't dress full suit get up. I'm saying dress comfortable yet classy. Not a full on ****ing business suit.

Okay!! I'm sure he gets it. We all do. Lawd have mercy.

Oh lawdy lawdy have mercy on me!

Best of luck!

Just have a positive outlook on things when you go in. Shake the person's hand when you speak to them, maintain eye contact, smile a lot. Dress up rather than down. I wouldn't say a suit, but maybe a happy medium might be some nice slacks and a jacket with a tie. Depends on your style.

I agree with the dropping slang bit. You want to get respect from who you're with. :)

Break a leg! :D

And then sue those bastards, cuz it happend on their property.

In my opinion, I'd say business casual would be appropriate. If you want to wear a tie and a button down shirt...you could always carry your suit coat with you.

Be prepared to answer...

What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
What's the most difficult situation you've had to deal with and how did you handle it?

If the guy has a sense of humor, crack a pun or a joke or something. Just once though. So laugh, then serious'd :awesome:

Just got back from the interview and I think I rocked it. The interviewer told me he was gonna go ahead and set up the next interview. It'll be a phone interview with a higher up and might be this Thursday.
