Batman Begins Joe Chill is the biggest problem of BB

And if he had, he would have served no purpose other than to probably get caught by Batman and put him in the "kill or don't kill" scenario.

Also the take his cowl off and tell him that he was made by him. I know one version had Chill murdered from criminals because of it. I don't mind the film version and it was interesting that he faced the issue of revenge before he became the Bat.

Yeah.

My favorite aspect of it, though, is him never being able to get revenge. He wants it, but he'll never have it. I liked that.

I think thats all bunk batman is a hero/anti hero he wont kill but he will threaten, bribe or (rarely) beat up a criminal to get what he wants this is why he has never been totally excepted by Gotham PD. IMO The overiding factor in his creation was that he never caught his parents killer thats what caused the dark part of bruce wayne to imerge which eventually became batman in the comics they should never have shown the wayne murderer again much less give him a name.

I hate the way some people try to put Bats in a superman mold of hero they are total opposites superman is the trusting one who relies on mens basic goodness while Batman is the grim reality of humanity of knowing some men are just bastards who need taking down in any way possible baring killing. Batman is a complex and psychological character who seems permenently on a balance between heroism and insanity TDKR batman is a seriously scarred character and probably the natural progression of Bruces psychosis imo

No. Batman is a hero. He's a grim, haunted hero, but he is a hero first and foremost. The way he's portrayed in Batman and Robin All-Star and The Dark Knight Strikes Again is sickening... he's not supposed to be a cheerful person, but he's not a nutcase. That's the Joker's job.

I like and prefer the idea of never figuring out who the Wayne killers are. Makes it seem like he's the first foe that completely and utterly defeated Batman.

However they seem to fit it nicely into BB, so I'm not complaining.

No, Batman is very much a nutcase. In fact, that's why Joker is such a perfect foil for him, because deep down inside they are virtually the same individual on different sides of the coin.
