Johnny Knoxville is most widely known for being a cast member of Jackass. He eventually branched out into acting/film, starring in small roles in many films, before becoming a leading actor in Walking Tall, The Dukes of Hazzard, and The Ringer, and of course, Jackass: The Movie and Jackass: Number Two. Now despite how bad you may think these films were (I thought The Ringer was not bad), a bad movie doesn't mean the acting was bad. He is also coming out with a film later on this year called Killshot, I believe, where a man and his wife are on the run from hitmen.

The question is:

Do you think that Johnny Knoxville is a credible actor?

----------------------------------------------------------------

I think that he can act.
He as yet to have a just flat out terrible performance in a movie, despite how bad the movie was. For that, I will say that he is a credible actor and is better than some actors/actresses currently out there.

if he is a good actor i would not know i can't see him as anything other than the guy who gets kicked in the nuts for cash.

He can act, but I wouldn't call him necessarily a good actor... mediocre-average.

He was pretty good in Walking Tall and Dukes of Hazard, I think with a good script and good actors to bounce from, he could pull off good performances.

same here, i think hes a piece of trash actor. not even good to watch him get hurt in jackass

none of the jackass guys are really actors.
johnny knoxville should have just landed a job on SNL and then faded away

No, he's not a good actor, but on the other hand, he's a better actor than others like Jimmy Fallon and Colin Farrell.

Doubt that. Farrell held up his own against Pacino in 'The Recruit'... Knoxville just managed to hold his own against Seann William Scott and The Rock.

the recruit was a flash of brilliance in an otherwise bleak career built on his irish accent and badboy attitude that only impressed lindsay lohan.
lucky him

Hey, at least the guy had a flash- Knoxville had nothing so far... as I said just managing to stay up with Scott and Rock isn't that much of a challenge and isn't a challenge at all in comparison to staying up with one of the greatest actors of our time- Pacino.

hey i agree i loved the recruit, but i'm just saying that was probably his moment.
knoxville will probably not get a moment.

I think it's more of a hit or miss... sometimes mediocre, sometimes good.

Good: Phone Boothe, The Recruit, Daredevil, Tiger Land

- Phone Boothe would have failed without a good lead actor. I mean, the whole film centered on one guy in a phone boothe! He delivered a good perfomance.
- In the Recruit he held his own against the great Al Pacino
- He didn't talk much as Bullseye, but he captured that cool essence of the character. Bullseye was always my favorite DD villain because he was cool. Hell, as Affleck once said- you can find yourself rooting for Bullseye at times, and he definitely captured the essence of the guy.
- Tiger Land is perhaps one of my favorite war films alongside 'Flags of our Fathers' and 'Letters from Iwo Jima'. Not a war film per se, due to the whole film being the 'training' process, but it was very down to earth.

Okay: Swat, Minority Report

And the ugly: Alexander

Even if Colin Farrell is considered a somewhat bad actor, he is still credible (believable) in his roles. I never asked whether Knoxville was a great actor. I asked if he was a credible one.

Colin Farrell was awful as Bullseye. Worst casting ever.

I think he's an ok actor, but I havent seen anything from him that makes me think he's a very talented actor. No, sorry.

I don't think he's a good actor and I find him to be damn annoying.
