Paul Bettany is going to be on Jay Leno tonight very soon. Anyone watching?

I'll watch it. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll especially be looking out for some Joker-tendencies if there are any. :o

And my favorite...

I challenge anyone to tell me that doesn't look in the very least, formidable, creepy, and Joker-like. I always knew Bettany had the acting skills and some of the facial features (which I predict Nolan will exhaggerate a bit more with prosthetics), but damn these manips just set me over. He's most definitely my first choice now.

Ever since I first saw them, I thought they were good, but something was off.

It just hit me, the eyes make him look to much like a zombie/lizard person

It's over now, he was talking about his next movie with Leonardo Dicaprio. I was hoping he'd atleast mention his intrests in the role for Joker but that didn't happen. It showed a clip of him in 'Firewall' which is his latest film, he had the name Joker all over him I thought. Did you see that?

Marc Labrèche looks like he could have been a good Joker in '89 maybe, he does look like a great hatter though, and he is French and French people have a hard time doing in American accent for some reason.

I don't EVER wan't to see Lillard in Batman or Depp or Hugh Grant lmao.

Mr. Socko, you are being lied to lol. "The Killing Joke" is in paperback and everywhere, try getting it from Amazon or ebay or somewhere online, it's everywhere cause it's one of the most famous story lines.

Oh, and I also watched Leno last night, I only n oticed Bettany was on when I hit INFO on the remote and saw his name. I though, hey maybe, but I figured he would never mention it so I'm not surprised lol, though he does have some weight on him now that he is older.

Also, he has no eyebrows. These are great pics, but I just don't see the Joker in them; just a guy in make-up.:o

Well, personally I think he looks like a vampire in those manips more so than the Joker. His facial features, voice, and build are wrong for the part. I have yet to see anything of Paul Bettany that makes me see a Joker quality to him at all. I honestly dont know what you guys see in him.

Considering the majority see some Joker in him, I think the question should be pointed towards you. :p

I love this pic

and has Joker's real name ever been revealed in a comic book?

Nope. His identity is completely unknown.

I doubt Bettany supporters would be concidered the majority. Outside of this board, more people are cheering on Brody, and Crispin Glover.

I'm talking about just in terms of what people think of Bettany as the Joker.

Glover is a hack and I have never heard anyone outside this board mention Brody as someone who has an actual shot. Brody will never happen either lol, come on guys.

As for Bettany, I don't see it either, but some people seem to like him cause he can act and he is popular, I doubt he will get it either, realalisticly. The fan favorite from everything I have seen is Eccelstone.

THE ONLY name mentioned by WB, or Nolan or anyone, is Hulme, bottom line.

How do we know that different people at WB arent pulling for their own choices? Just because the actors themselves havent been contacted doesnt mean that Bettany is not someone being considered by producers or execs etc. There have been several reports from BOF that say Bettany is in the running (wether he knows/wants to be or not).

I don't know Lache Hulme by his work, but to me, he looks and seems absolutely perfect for the Joker: Hulme's evidently funny, looks to be a perfect age for the part, has got the dark, menacing look, a good head of hair, cool eyebrows, a long, narrow face, a pointy nose, and a pointy-enough chin.

Well, I've heard quite a few "reguler joe's" bring up Glover, and as far as Adrian Brody goes, I guess he doesn't have that popularity and recognition from being an award winner, and being concidered one of American Cinimas top rising stars.

I changed my first place pick. Personally, I am all for Adrien Brody. I think he would be awesome.

The only thing setting me back on Brody is his overall "psychotic" or "mad" look. I think it's his eyebrows. Yeah yeah, what a trivial thing to point out, but they look a lot like this: :O

Seems more like someone I would go "awww" about rather than "ahhhh!!"

:o

HA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAAA!! That's hilarious!:D

Big deal, he is famous and up and coming, that does not mean he is under consideration to be The Joker at all. Anyone could be up for the role true, but the only name anyway from the studio or the producers or whoever, as a mention, is Lachy Hulme. I honestly think that they have condiered people but have not yet sat down and actually discussed it. It's going to be a little while, hell The Joker may not even be in the film for all we know. Anyone who thinks they are casting or whatever is out of their gord. The film has yet to be written or even concepted at this point due to other things they are working on, (WB, Nolan, Producers, actors).

All I'm saying is their is a lot of fanboy hype around names here or anywhere else. Brody will probably not be The Joker, I mean come on lol, and DEpp? Forget about it lol. Nothing nowhere is offical or even close to being but all I'm saying is that Hulme is the ONLY name mentioned by people who actually make a difference. Don't get so defensive guys lmao.

When was it even announced by anyone that's working on the sequel that Hulme was in talks. The only places I've seen him mentioned are on rumor sites like BOF.
