Vincent Gallo admitted it on Howard Stern awhile back

Hahah....yep thats where I heard it. I listen to Howard Stern everyday and I remember the Vincent Gallo interview.

I wonder how Joker will be portrayed given the "Realism" thing,I hope he isn't simplified TOO much..I can accept what Nolan is doing with the Scarecrow, and how he only becomes really creepy when shown from the perspective of a gassed victim(original idea, btw)..but I just hope Joker isn't "over-realityed" lol.

I agree with that too. He should be portrayed as a really sadistic killer, but who is also funny.

It will be hard for Nolan to pull off such a well-loved and complex character, but I think he will do it...

Just to let you know, I am changing my name to "General Grievous". So don't be confused if he starts to post here, it is the same guy.

Only dark humor Joker...not make the audience giggle Joker.

Well, a bit of both. He should use sick humour that relates to him killing people, but also use actual funny humour, to add more depth to him, make him likeable. Because the Joker is actually a likeable villain, in my opinion.

And he was a professional comedian before his accident so he should show this.

The film could start with Jack Napier, if they keep that name, as just a down-on-his-luck comdian, and we see him doing routines that are funny, but we slowly realise that he has been doing crimes on the side, and is involved with the mob in order to help his wife and child. Then if they decide to show the murder of his wife on film it would add a lot of depth.

Don't u think?

He would be perfect. Does anyone remember that bit in the matrix revolutions where he absorbs the oricle and he becomes her, then he stands up, takes his shades off and laughs? That screams joker all the way. This man can do it. I say make the movie joker a version of the animated series joker (mark Hamill), but more scarier.

Gallo has to sell the movie. Its just a fake PeePee. Anyway my pick for the Joker is Robert Carlyle. IMO he's the only actor that has every aspect for what I would want to see. He a good actor, has an angular face, the right voice, can be downright creepy, and (most important) has a raspy laugh. If he gets a make up job like the one used in Dead End (with out the dopey eyebrows) he would be perfect.

Here some pics of Robert Caryle for those don't know who the guy is

He could be great as Joker if Nolan starts to think who to cast as Joker...

P.S this was idea of The Penguin, I totally forgot about Robert Caryle playing Joker good idea The Penguin.

Ehhh Robert Carlyle is too old for Joker to me. I wanna see someone who is more in Bale's age range...*Coughs* hulme*Coughs*.

I think Mark Hamill would be okay, *no offense* but he is naturally scary looking enough...if you gave him some make up, i bet he would be one of the best live action jokers:p lol

I must still say my vote is for crispin glover tho:)

Crispin Glover is my pick for him, I just hope he would do it, and that nolan would cast him.

idk about nolan casting him but glover would mostlikey do it, his career as of late hasnt been, how you say, good.

I really don't get it.

What exactly has Lachy Hulme been in that screamed "Joker"?

Just look at his facial features, The nose being the main thing, it's perfect for the Joker. He also has those creepy eyes. When I look at him I can just see him as the Joker.
