If Tim Curry were to get the role I would kill myself! I can't stand him! Clearly Mark Hammil has the voice but it would be difficult to get him to look the part.

no it wouldnt look at hammill as the trickster on the flash,and as cock knocker in jay and silent bob strike back,and if they want joker in the second and third part, they would be wise to sign hammil, you definitley know hed do it hes a Major fanboy with a love of comics golden age and new age and he loves the joke and it would be fascinating to hear a Fanboys Perspective on being the joker finally!

I have a sneaking suspicion Jake Gylenhall might be considered for Joker. He was the runner-up for Batman (gasp) and Goyer's choice (double gasp). Nolan screentested Cillian Murphy for Batman and Murphy was cast as Scarecrow. Jake tested for Batman, perhaps he will be cast as Joker. He's an up and comer, he's got the psychotic glint in his eyes (Donnie Darko). Maybe...

But I'd still prefer Brad Pitt or Edward Norton as Joker. If Jim Carrey didn't play Riddler in BF he'd make the absolute best Joker ever.

Christopher Eccleston for Joker people. This has been suggested but not as much as some other people *cough*Lachey Hulme**Cough*Crispin bloody Glover**. This guy is so right for it. He has a perfectly good facial look for the Joker and I just know that his voice would be perfect. I think he could sound like Hammil's interpretation of the Joker if he wanted to. He'd make the character very black. Check out some pictures of him and I'll do a manip soon. He also has a great Joker smile and is very good at looking extremely manic. he's a versatile, great actor as well.

He has that natural insanity to him that would make him a great canidate to play the Joker.

I just couldn't take Nicholson seriously. The only scene where he comes off
As a deranged, murderous psychopath is when he talks to the corpse.
He came off as campy in most of his scenes.

crispin glover is the perfect choice. i am really expecting him to get the part. he seems made for it. he is a good character actor and just LOOKS like the joker.
