Joker Costume for Halloween

Well i wasn't specifically asking for help from you in the first place. But then again, I didn't know till much later that you speak on behalf of all members of the forum. Oopsy daisy.....guess I did make a big faux pas. I'll clarify now that if I ask for a "help" or for a third item or as you put it all the things on earth....you can bypass my message and not take it so personally that they are directed entirely at you. Kelikala, I've got a question for you............How'd the IMAX event go!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The IMAX showing was sweet, however, I couldn't go in costume because the theater is attached to a museum and I might have scared the little kidlets that were there half out of their minds. However, I did take some of my Joker cards and leave them laying around in a few places. Made me happy when one girl ran out of the bathroom holding one screaming "OMG JOKER WAS IN THE LADIES RESTROOM". Funny as hell.

However, to make up for the lack of playing 'dress up', I decided to go to the Chicago Comic Con this year. Figured I might as well. I only live a few hours from Chicago and it seems a good deal of my 'Joker' friends are close by as well, so the chances of running into some of you lovely folks is pretty high!

I've been wanting to do some more Joker photo shoots, but I had surgery on my hand on January 30th, and it's pretty useless right now. Tried putting my make-up on left handed and ended up looking more like Bozo instead of Mr. J. LOL

Well thats sucks! I was expecting lots and lots of pics! And funny stories of how you scared little kids out of their minds! LOL. Well, thats to bad. I wish I would of brought my 10 or so extra cards to Wal-mart when TDK came out on DVD and left them around the dvd's and the store. I totaly just over looked the fact that I could of done that, LOL.

(Also, I don't know all about it yet, but I've been asked to help out with the BSG portion of a convention up near Chicago called CYPHAN, here's the basic detail release :

So getting back on topic - after all that molding and casting this is is a teaser of the first test of the new scars.
Doing the interrogation scene joker because I wont have the coat and other props ready for Katsucon.

Hey thanks - yeah I realized that the black makeup I used on the eyes on this test was actually TOO high quality and didnt run like I needed it to.
This is my Boyfriend BTW - I just make the costumes and makeup ^_^

Sadly I did not but that was due to delivery issues with my office where I had them sent.

If you were to come by I'd actually be happy to help or at least instruct to the best of my ability.
With time runningout I actually cut corners on this application as there was a learning curve.
Mainly the balance of deadener etc.

This also ties into the issues with premade silicone scars for sale.
While silicone is flexible; deadener causes it to be more fleshy and flexible to resemble tissue. the softer the prosthetic and more close to skin elasticity the less likely it is going to be to pull loose under major expressions.

What I didnt end up doing was making the resin application masks that they used to actually do this.
I also need to get an honest to god mold release. Dish soap works... but not all of them do work well and you can end up destroying your molds :-p

Tonight I'm going to finish the vest so hopefully tommorow we can do a FINAL interrogation scene joker.
