To me, he does look like the Joker, but not the look that I like. But characterization seems near flawless.

Are you kidding? He doesn't look like Nicholson's Joker at all. Very different. The only thing they have in common is white skin and green hair.

I, as well as many others, enjoy Burton's adaptation of the Joker, including people who have written many comics over the years. He was very faithful and captured the very spirit of the character that Bob Kane and Bill Finger envisioned and Mr. Kane agreed quite so when he was alive. But if you hated him, I can still respect your opinion.

if you mean white skin, red lips, and green hair then yeah. but other than that the two are very different.

I, respect your opinion of the look. I just think he was too old, and large, for the role. I also was not a fan of Joker killing Bruce's parents, and that god awful perma smile. This is my opinion, I'm not speaking for everyone.

I was just clearly stateing that this Joker will look better than the 89 Joker in Batman, it ticks me off that people think Jack Nicholson WAS and WILL BE the ONLY Joker. When really, he was the only Joker that was portrayed live (other than Ceaser, I think) that most people remember / know of.

i remember reading an old review in comics interview- an old fan mag- were the reviewer commented that most of the time nicholsons joker was no more diabolical than your drunk uncle fred. while i like the old batman enough-it was more for the tween/early teen set. and jack was too portly and silly...still enjoy it tho...despite a lousy prince soundtrack. as much as i kinda like it, god, i love bashing that movie.

As much as I'm a fan of the clowning around (no pun intended) Joker, I would take the phycotic (sorry for grammar, unsure) clown, killer. And in this film, that's what we're getting.
