batman begins was a step in the right direction but it still sucked. It was very boring and the action sequences were lame. Bale pulled off wayne but certainly not batman, Keaton still owns the character.
Now let's see what Heath Ledger does with the greatest character ever created in pop culture.

The joker should probably be a loner like Batman, henchmen bring back bad memories of B89.

im not really haveing a problem with ledger......ok, kinda, but i have more of a problem with nolans realistic "vision" for everything. the problem with that is that it's too realistic. Unlike Burton's Gotham City, I can't imagine a guy nick named The Joker running around or a woman who dresses up like a cat in BB's Gotham City. In any Gotham City (regardless of director), I think there has to be a certain over the top-ness, which I think BB lacked. thats more the reason why im worried about how the joker will be interpreted, cuz just like in BB, they might try to downplay the villians, including Joker. and thats why im nervous that they may destroy what makes the joker so damn awsome.

That's why I believe for the most part, that Nolan was referring to mainly and only BB about grounding it in reality. Just to start things off. I don't think he'll go as hardcore as the last 4 batman films but he did say for TDK it's going to get a lot worse than it does getting better. I take that as meaning now that most of the loonies from Arkham are loose, the city is going to kinda flip upside down if you know what I mean. I think it's going to be alittle more comic like, just not to the level as I said before of the last 4 films.

Killer croc should be the Joker's body guard and handle the wet works. And he should be played by Mickey Rourke who does badass latex pretty well (cf : Marv) or even without make up.
Also put Tony Jaa in the bat suit for all the fight sequences for something truly special.

LOL, didn't you say that in another thread?

I did, sorry if I'm repeating myself but I'm not really sure how those threads work yet. LOL, I guess.

REALISM is the only way to go when you're telling the Batman story. He's the most popular Comic Book character (maybe altogether) WITHOUT any stupid SUPER/MAGIC powers.

Im so sick of people complaining about Nolan's realism. If you want a cartoon - go watch the WB. Or the LAME and DATED movies of the 90's and (89).

Now we can actually put ourselves in Batman's shoes.

Realism works much better

Never question Nolan

Never question Nolan

I can't see you lasting long here with this arrogant attitude. People can question and complain about whatever they like.

You're going to have to accept that if you plan on sticking around here.

some guy on brotherhood of the bat posted this about an hour ago, so I hope some of you can clarify the picture, cause I'm no good at it:

LOL... that was taken by Laura and posted here by typeorocks last night...

I'm in a good position with it at the moment; I already feel completely disappointed, so the living, moving character on screen can only be a pleasant surprise.

Looks like the Joker, though I was looking forward to a really sick looking Joker. This version has too much of a resemblance of Burton's adaptation.
