Jonah Hill Was Eyed for Secret Role.

Personally I'd rather Hill play the Penguin, but I can see why he wouldn't want to. If he plays the Riddler then I would be totally okay with that, even though I wanted to see McAvoy get it.

I'm can't believe my fancasting is getting laughed at in a thread where people are seriously recommending Jonah Hill for the Riddler. Smh.

You mean much like how Jesse Eisenberg was an academy award nominee before he got cast as Lex Luthor?

And I say that as someone who actually liked Eisenberg's Luthor...

Some actors simply aren't suited for certain roles. You'd hardly have cast James Stewart as Superman, regardless of his acting prowess. It wouldn't have worked for most people.

Jimmy Stewart as Superman sounds pretty perfect tbh
Hmm. Now that you mention it, he did kinda personify truth, justice and the American way like no other actor. Bad example on my part heh. But anyways I was talking more with respects to his physicality and whatnot.

Let's get down to the real reason you guys don't want Hill as The Riddler - you're used to him being fat. Hill can pull of a smarmy, smarter than thou weasel in his sleep.

Throw him in green:

Also, maybe as a Jewish person Hill doesn't want to play a greedy, hook noised gangster who controls things behind the scenes?

Does Riddler have to be incredibly thin? I don't see any reason we should doubt that Jonah could pull off riddler.

Jesse Eisenberg would have been quite capable of portraying an original, interesting take on Lex Luthor.

It isn't about the actor, it's about the material.

Exactly. This film isn't going to be directed by Zack Snyder (thank god!)

You're saying his version of Luthor wasn't original? That's a new one on me. Terrible? Sure, okay. Misguided? Yep, heard that one.

But unoriginal? Nope, never that one before.
