people don't have to be brought back just because there's a way for it to happen, he brings virtually nothing to the movies at all and is best left out of it, a wet fish way out his depth and he paid the ultimate price for being so....i do expect him to come back though and if anyone can do it with credibility its Whedon.

Since the show has just started shooting, the official Twitter account's becoming pretty active:

Might also be worth keeping an eye on the official Facebook as well:

They really should combine this thread with the other one. Its hard work checking both threads lol.

Because looking at one thread and then looking at the other is such a chore... :o

I'm sure everything will end up in the same place once we get a SHIELD forum. We can hold out like this for a few more months.

One thing I dont want is just the spy stuff.....

This IS the Marvel Universe!

I hope we see some costumes every now and then.....Some minor players like Moon Knight? Paladin?? The kind of characters that make sense in a spy show and that will never be put on the big screen.

a lot on big screen actors are doing TV now! Kevin Bacon, Fishburne etc..... So why not have Scarlet Jo cameo an episode?

Who would you guys like to see.........IF THE LEGAL EAGLES ALLOW...

I don't think it should be just spy stuff, but the spy-fi element certainly shouldn't be ignored...

If its anything like dollhouse in terms if tone, I'll be happy...I just finished that show for the first time lol, I loved it.

Such an underrated show. I seriously doubt this will be nearly as dark as that, though.

It's become one of my favorite shows, I am officially a whedonite lol,I don't care who knows it.

I didnt say to ignore the Spy-fi element..........I said that I hope that they dont ignore the costumed heroes that exist in their universe.

Obviously they're not going to do that either. They're a spinoff of the biggest movie of last year, they're not going to just disregard it.

Welcome to the club. :D

If there are any of his shows that you haven't checked out yet, I'd highly recommend doing so. None of his shows are duds. Dollhouse is the one most widely considered his black sheep, and as you recently discovered, that's a title it totally didn't deserve.

I watched the entirety of Buffy growing up, my mom and sister loved that show so it was always on lol. Haven't seen much of angel, but I've seen all of firefly and serenity, I even own doctor horrible a sing a long blog on DVD lol.

Here's a thought for something somewhere down the line... now that the rights have reverted back to Marvel, they could introduce The Punisher for a spot; using it to test the waters for an eventual spin-off.

It just seems to work. The character's power level (relative to the other heroes) and sociopathy explains why nobody would think or want to call him even if the fate of the world was on the line. His abilities (or rather lack of super ones) and weapons of choice are very easily doable on a TV budget. Lastly, given the previous lackluster performances in the box office, I can't imagine Marvel rushing to make another one and might instead consider looking to television as a way to pursue/make use of the property.

Remedy that. Immediately! :argh:

Minor correction: the Thomas Jane Punisher ( there is no other! ) is not a sociopath. Not even close.

I wouldn't mind seeing him return. He had that short film where he was the Punisher last year. He could have a guest role on one show. Maybe SHIELD are called to investigate his vigilante activities and they end up going up against him. However, in the end, maybe they decide to live and let live because he actually helps them in some way, even though they don't approve of his methods.

Perfect

I plan to. Oh...I plan to.
I like your determination, haha. When you do, just know there are a lot of crossovers with Buffy, so it might behoove you to at least re-watch those Buffy episodes that ran parallel with it (the Buffy eps usually came first). I'm sure there are plenty of us on this forum, myself included, who would be happy to help you do that if you were so inclined. I think I know all those crossovers by heart, lol. [/nerd]

On topic: I'd be all for Tom Jane appearing as The Punisher on this show.

I loved dollhouse as well.

Joss should find a role for Eliza on shield
