Some people are addicted to alcoholism and will always be addicted...but they chose to stop drinking to help themselves and family live a productive life. Yes, it may mean making sure the person doesn't hang out with certain co-workers...or go to certain corners at night....maybe it means talking with that person about their feelings and needs. But it can be done.

How can you deny that from a person asking for it? Why can't a free person choose that for him or herself or a loved one?

Bill Clinton is a philanderer who jeopardized his presidency....but with right help can choose (I don't know if he's been successful) not to have sex with other women outside his marriage. Maybe that's not perfect example...but point stands...People can be helped and change their lifeestyle despite the temptation. No one i saying you will stop having temptation....but you can change your lifestyle in spite of temptation.
