Julian McMahon Talks about Doom's Costumes

Do you think his face will be all metal boned and such?

I'm guessing (and very much hoping) he gets cured of his organic metal skin enabling him to move and rips of the mask without knowing it's been bonded to his now human face (that'd certainly leave a mark...ouch)*

The human Doom we see being grabbed by Ben might just be Doom wearing a mask of his former face that he uses until he makes some real armor later on (possibly after stealing the Surfers powers for a time).

*if they are going back to a human scarred Doom (and not wanting to have two metal skinned dudes in the same flick might lean towards that), they should never ever show us his damaged face.

Since that is probably 2 of around 15 tv spots that will come out.....I think we can get a nice balance of all that we want....

What I don't want.....is the entire movie in TV spots.....

So the fact that I really know nothing about Doom.....is awesome in my opinion......something to look forward to in the movie.........something I actually have NOT SEEN......

I am not saying show us the whole movie. I am saying let me see a little Doom so I know he isn't FF1 Doom. I am worried he is not that different right now because he is being kept super secret.

As paranoid as I am when it comes to Doom, I would be inclined to go along with your feeling as well, but since McMahon has been saying what I would call "all the right things to hear" and we didn't hear things about Latveria, his castle, or even a "bulkier" armor in the first movie and those are the things we are being told now, which in itself, implys ARMOR, not organic garbage for the record...so McMahon and Story are saying all the right things at this moment when it comes to Doom.

He sounds really confused about about how a lot of things are happening within the film. He certainly sounds like he understands the character's story, but like things aren't really too clear in the film.

Once someone mentioned him getting Surfer's power's, the "GQ" Doom, as they put it, makes sense for me.

But it better be clear in the film, and not just left with so much unexplained like Julian seems to be sounding like.

So, insted of giving a reason for the many outfits, Julian just says it is ridulous....

OR, he just might not want to give too much away. Julian is not one to take himself, or anyone else, too seriously.

Actually in the Arcs they based the script off of, that is BASICLY what Doom is about about

If you read between the lines you can figure out what he is saying without saying it.

If you were here last week when Loan talked about how much trouble he got into for spilling too much you would understand the vagueness.

For instance last week he talked about all the tech stuff Doom now has and not knowing how he got all that stuff, but we know full DOom has all that stuff and more.

It is possible that Story jumped right into all of that as opposed to filling in all the blanks as you have to do in an origin film.

Tim clearly does not want to do a lot of that this time around.

So see if you think about it you can figure out how things are being done for this movie.

Then you have to ask yourself are you happy with how they are going about it or not. They only have two hours and Tim Story must be realizing that unlike a comedy or drama the pacing has to be perfect.

See now that I have explained everything you can take a deep breath and relax and be happy cause you know with all the negativity sometimes people will think you are a troll and you don't want that right?

They also said we'd have a Sentinel in X3...look how that turned out. Maybe this promised "Full Doom" is only in it for a few seconds, but is still FF1 Doom for most of it. I have to see it to believe it, much like my faith in the handling of Galactus. They can say what they want, but until I see something, this hypster won't salivate one bit (only the SS has me excited so far).

it sounds like hes going to get mad scarring. i always liked having just a little scar that doesnt seem like much, but he obsesses over it. kinda like the tiny scar he had at the beginning of the first movie, b4 it went all gay and took over like his body

i think it will look great, his first costume was good so this one hopfully will be better
