My audience cheered when the T-Rex finally made her appearance at the end.

We also had a couple in our audience wearing matching Dennis Nedry shirts - the flowery one from when he met with Dodson. :funny:

Yes we cheered at Rexy making her first appearance as well :word. One of them in that couple should've been Dodgson! Haha

I believe a lot of previously successful franchises can be saved. Universal's Fast and Furious and Jurassic Park prove that more than anything. I'd say that First Class's quality saved the X-Men franchise as well.

Can Terminator be saved? :csad:

They ought to bring Dodson back for one of the sequels. He's still out there after all.

Interesting to note there's been no talk of greenlighting a sequel yet despite the huge cash this has made. It makes me wonder if Universal themselves may have been thrown off guard by just how big this has become.

I thought the whole cast was likable honestly. I enjoyed this more then AOU, mainly cause the story seemed more focused and there wasnt all this extra stuff shoved in your face. It was more of where is the story now film it.

Agreed. I've said it once & I'll say it again...as great as I thought AoU was, it felt like an obligatory fill in. You can tell Whedon was the main one who wanted Ultron, whereas I think the studio was truly ready to bring Thanos out by part two.

But, yeah, I think the whole cast was likable all across the board. I don't really have any complaints about anyone who was in the cast.

Ehhhhh...If Genesis (I'm not using that stupid spelling) is of surprising quality and doesn't flop, sure. I don't see it becoming a Fast and Furious or Jurassic World style juggernaut but it could make enough to get a sequel off of the ground.

I am predicting it to not do well but I've been wrong countless times before so I could be wrong again.

I kind of agree here, I think the movie will do well but unless it's just mind-blowing it won't make any major waves.

My friend at work told me there was an Easter egg in this movie that takes a jab at JP 3's Spino killing the T-Rex. During the finale when Claire lures out the original T-Rex, we see the bones of a Spino in the T Rex area. Basically saying the T-Rex is still the king or queen of the JP food chain lol. I saw the movie twice and missed that both times.
I honestly didn't notice it either, or even know until somebody here mentioned it.

I don't know about that. It was said the sequel went into pre production just like 3 months ago.

Ummmm...

"Slashfilm spoke to Frank Marshall (JW producer) last Monday (June 8th 2015) and asked him about a potential sequel to Jurassic World, to which he replied:

Well they were pretty general in that we leave the door open to have further chapters in the story. What’s funny is I’m on my way to have lunch with the studio and Colin to talk about a sequel. Like now."

It definitely felt like a big budget filler by the end or a big setup for another movie. Jurassic world and mad max both focused on the story first and foremost didnt try to setup easter eggs and future films and loose track of what they were even doing. AUO was a really good summer movie dont get me wrong but marvel clearly lost there way with it and became alittle lazy. A sad trait in most blockbusters these days.

The CGI of the T-Rex bothered me the first time I saw the movie. It seemed fine this time around.

Yeah, I noticed the eyes were a little cartoony.

The eyes looked larger to me during the fight. Maybe to make it look more of a "good" dinosaur compared to the Indominus? But it looked fine during the last shot of the movie.

Just realized there is a Ian Malcolm book by the control station, love finding these easter eggs, also has it been confirmed that Jimmy Buffet actually had a cameo in the film?? lol

I think there's value in InGen and BioSyn competing against each other, ala Apple and Microsoft. Or....Marvel and DC. :hehe:

But indeed, no matter the plot, people will be after the dinosaurs on the loose and having a good old chomp.

We also cannot leave out the comic stylings of the control room guard that no one gave two ****s about. "Hey man, y'all can't just be walking up in here."

I don't think that the control room guy was funny, I don't believe I laughed even once at his jokes or antics.

Talking, greenlighting - two different things.

I know they're two different things thanks. But they've clearly been talking about a sequel for some time now.
