Saw it last night. It's utter trash.

I loathed the whole same dinosaur but bigger = better ideology behind it. I hated the way Chris Pratt's character talked to Bryce Dallas Howard. That was just awful to watch.

I loathed the way the film shamed her for focusing on her career that she was great at. Who cares if she doesn't know anything about her nephews? She made the decision to focus on her career and she doesn't deserve to be shamed by that. Her doing that ensured lots of different kids had a fantastic holiday with their families and besides her nephews aren't even her kids.

And I hated the brats. I literally couldn't care less about them. I hated their corny rosy cheeked, look of wonder, apple pie cooling gently on the windowsill bulls**t. Hated them. Why weren't they eaten by a dinosaur? Pratt's sexist character too for that matter.

Mad max: fury road was way better

no probs

we all are here to have fun and sometime take jabs, lol

Seriously though, seeing as we were talking about JP3, how awesome would it be for the next JP to have an actual Kirby Enterprises as one of the companies stepping in to buy out inGen? (Set up buy Mr.Kirby after the events on Isla Sorna)

I already beat the Lego game. I'm about 30% complete in terms of all the goodies and characters. Gonna take a loooooooooooong time to get to 100%.

Why do people compare this film to Fury Road? I really liked Fury Road, BTW.

The only thing they have in common is that they are semi-rebooting older franchises, and they are action films.

Because Fury Road's greatness cast shades on all other movies...

So imagine what will happen if George Miller directs a "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs" movie.

"Saving Private Ryan" is Spielberg's bridge film for me. The one that captures the two different periods of his career. It is also arguably his best effort.

I like the director Spielberg has become, but I can't imagine him pulling off what Scorsese did with "The Wolf of Wall Street". He can't go back in time and recapture his younger self so completely, and I don't think he really wants to.

That's a good comparison. I actually think he did try with Crystal Skull. And we all saw how that went.

Totally different island man, that was Isla Soran.

Different
T-REX

sorry, some people liked JP3

I am one of them....

It still exists in the timeline

sorry to burst your bubble bro!!

The movie where Alan Grant and Ellie are almost strangers? The one where a T-Rex is killed in five seconds by the Spino? The one where a guy gets eaten by Pteranadons in a bird cage, yet magically somehow shows up alive at the end with Alan Grant's hat?

Yeah, I do not think that one counts for me. In fact, I would say it is quite telling that World ignores Site B and those two sequels all together. I think there is a point to that.

That's just downright unamerican.

Will be interesting to see what the next film will be about....cause they are going to fast track the next one.

Meh I think Mad Max is extremely overrated. I knew nothing about Mad Max or the world/ lore when I saw it and the movie didn't make me a fan. The fact that it's praised as some masterpiece is beyond me. I rate it like a 7/10 and that being generous. Definitely preferred Jurassic World.

Bro, did the movie trigger you? Do you need to sit down or something?

Both this film and mad max successfully reinvigorated interest in there respective franchises that were dead. Add planet of the apes to the mix and reboots suddenly since 2011 have class and quality. I loved the introduction to the park via the kids because the littlest one represented us the audience, add the theme song and I damn near cryed.

I just love it when people hate a movie so much that they have to bring in a completely different movie and compare it.

Aside from reboot/sequel they couldnt be more further apart. I had to chuckle reading that

If they do a sequel the only thing I can think of is following through with the Ingen plot about using the dinosaurs as soldiers in the military.
