This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]536205[/split]
What war? Marvel has clearly established itself as number one on film. Its not even close.
There is a huge international fan war going on between DC/Marvel fans. They troll each other on any post that's CB releated. From movies to animation to video games to tv... It can get real ugly, really quick

The fan wars are the height of stupidity. We should hope that all comic book movies are made well and do well at the theater.
Im suggesting the war is over.

Not a chance. Marvel fans will likely bring up JL's mediocre box office numbers every chance they get and then DC fans will retaliate...etc The fan war will never end... There's even fan accounts with thousands of followers, dedicated to bashing the other side.
Anyway, is there any updated numbers for JL? Praying for that 40m number
The number crunchers at BOT are saying even a 40m isnt enough to cross $100m. Estimates seem to range between $89-98m.
Easy. Lets not go too extreme.
Lots of DC fans willing to give this movie a look-see regardless of review.
In the material world, the war never even started.
Marvel is a brand worldwide, they merchandise electric fans, t-shirts and baseball caps with just Marvel written on them, no characters, and they sell wonderfully, believe you me.
Meanwhile DC is a non entity, Batman is. Even Supes and Wondy lag seriously behind.
I know in the USA the situation is not so dire but multiple disappointments on the silver screen will not help.

I think Superman's value as has been dramatically diluted. People have held on to the fact that he's the most iconic, recognisable Superhero on earth. And that may still be true. But he peaked from World War 2 onwards up until the first few Chris Reeves films in terms of sheer box office and commercial value. I feel there are quite a few more heroes who have more value and relevance to the wider public now than Supes, who is sort of a really famous relic at this point.
