Glad to see so many people happy that the film didn't do well. Does us all a favour and go back to your MCU threads thanks if you are here just to gloat. Many thanks.

Mediocrity shouldn't be praised or propped to succeed. I don't see how any DC fan could be proud of what we got, regardless of your stance on the rest of this universe. This is not the film we deserved.

The underperformance and negative press surrounding this stumble should be a loud message to WB they can't push this crap on us.

I'm a fan of superheroes from all companies and studios.

Good superhero movies should be rewarded. The bad ones should not. It's just that simple.

Ouch. Lets hope the course corrections will actually bare fruit.

I'm a DC fan. I'm happy this failed because all of WB's BS over the last couple years should NOT be rewarded. It's damaged the brand and done no justice to characters I've adored since childhood. Failure forces them to go back and look at where they went wrong, and HOPEFULLY they'll learn from some of their mistakes.

I think it's wildly known that I'm a massive DC fan and a fan of the DCEU, and of the output prior to the JL film, and that the JL film for me, is not representative of what I wanted or wished for in it's cinematic form, however, I would support the film for the cast and so that they may continue in their roles. Would I jump with joy that hurrah, it did so badly, no, fans of something don't do that, they support through good and bad. I've supported Liverpool all my life, do I wonder off and support a more successful club as soon as a time comes along that my team fall and are not as successful, no, of course I don't.

Going by your analogy of supporting a sports team, we're all still team DC. Nothing has changed there. There are just a lot of us who don't support the current roster/management.

So the question is, are you more of a fan of Snyder and co., or the actual brand itself which is far bigger than any single or team of artists?

I support my team every year, but when we start messing up and doing poorly on a regular basis I call it like I see it and demand changes.

Creative commercial properties are not sports - the characters and ideas surrounding them are what matters to me, not hometown pride, and I will not support "the team" when they prove themselves to be nothing but careless and dismissive toward those characters and ideas and peddle thrown-together garbage to the masses for a quick buck instead of treating those characters and ideas with the respect they deserve.

In my house, I have Star Wars, DC, Marvel, Doctor Who, Disney, Pixar, Voltron, Transformers, etc. That doesn't mean I can't point out how crappy the Bay films have been or how I was so disappointed in the DCEU (minus WW) or that Cars is a obvious cash grab.

I am a fan of DC. Hence why I was appalled at the treatment of Batman, Luthor and superman in BvS. How can somebody be a fan of these characters and continue to support films that brutalize them? Thankfully most do not.

I'm just glad that the reign of terror is over.

The only way is up, baby!

And how much say do any of us in the changes our sports teams make ? None.

Well, if fans of a sports team doesn't support their team, the team can leave for another City.

Money talks. We tell them with our wallets. Which thankfully, is exactly what the movie-going public did with Justice League. Changes are afoot. Now whether or not those changes will be good, remains to be seen. But at least we know the public has spoken and been heard.

I'm all too aware of the lack of care, attention to detail and lack of respect shown by WB to the JL film thanks.

Don't think she's just referring to JL.

It doesn't matter. Either way, I don't see why WB should be rewarded for that BS, which is why there's nothing wrong with being glad that they weren't. If JL had made a billion, nothing would change. Now some things just might.

Just as many of us are aware of the lack of care, attention to detail, and lack of respect shown by WB when they decided to hire Zack Snyder and give him an entire trilogy of DC films, allowing him to make creative decisions for several A list DC characters in the process.

Its why so many of us are glad this whole thing fell flat on its face.

Differing views on how films have done ? Who'da thought.
So then maybe next time don't assume those with differing views are just Marvel fans looking to gloat and tell them to get out of the thread. :cwink:

Or suggest that people aren't real fans because they're happy bad decisions result in bad results.
