Seems we've got a lot of Hypesters seeing the movie already, so here's the place for your reviews.

SPOILERS ARE ALLOWED, BUT MUST BE TAGGED!

I posted yesterday in the Reactions thread but now I'll post on here

I really liked the movie. The characters, the action scenes, and chemistry & dialogue between the League members were very well done. Aquaman and the Flash definitely steal the movie. Despite not being in the movie much, Superman/Clark is awesome! It's the classic Superman we all know and love.

I really do feel the movie could have been an extra 15 to 20 minutes longer to flesh out the story and Steppanwolf some more. Hopefully we get an extended cut of the film on blu-ray. Also felt the CGI could have used a little more work in certain scenes. Other than that, it wasn't bad enough to take you out of the movie.

Overall, I would give the movie an 8.5/10

Definitely gonna watch it again!

Im going to see this film on Sunday

Very interested in Amazons scenes with Queen Connie Nielsen & Doutzen Kroes as Venelia

Can u confirm if u saw Doutzen in this movie? She's not on imdb.com but ive seen behind the scenes candids

Saw it and loved it. Steppenwolf is essentially ronan. Aquaman blows like I thought he would as he is AMINO to me. Those are the two biggest flaws And I love the runtime because it’s very concise. The score is a highlight for me along with certain characters and moments they get. Be interesting if they follow up on the end credits scene or if things will change. I want to see The Fleck back but he needs to get his head out of the bottle and be Batman for two more JL’s as he excels here. Score may seem high but 9/10 for me. I’ll see it again Thursday.

Saw It.

Now i want to see the Snyder cut, they didnt included many scenes saw It in the trailer.

Awful cgi for the deleted mustache and for Steppenwolf.

Also they erased the ring scene.

Enjoy the Movie but too much comedy and too many reshoots.

6'5/10

Overall, just a solid time to spend at the theater. The heroes are all great, especially Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Flash. Superman finally gets to be a strong and inspiring symbol of hope. Cyborg has a lot of heart, and Batman is, simply put, Batman.

The first act is terribly messy, though. Steppenwolf's introduction is mishandled, and the "history lesson" gets dumped on us rather suddenly. The movie hops around a lot at the start, too, which makes it hard for it to build momentum.

The only character I felt was underdeveloped was Aquaman. His backstory is vaguely touched upon and he doesn't have that strong of a motivation to join the League. The Atlanteans are also poorly introduced, and you don't really get a sense of wonder when you first meet the Atlanteans. I thought this was problematic since this is the first time they ever show up on the silver screen.

Also, there are a lack of stakes. The film never really reveals how the public reacts to the League, and I don't think much of the world even knew it was in danger. It seems the majority people just continued about their business and couldn't care less that the League actually saved their butts. This made the film a little less epic than it could've been.

But Justice League kicks into high gear when its heroes start uniting, though, and the action is phenomenal. There are unfortunately quite a few instances of spotty CGI, especially on Superman's face.

I know there are a lot of negatives, and the film is far from perfect. But unlike BvS, Justice League is a movie I really want to see again because it is fun and engaging. That's enough for me.

Ok, I just came back from my screening.

This movie is far from perfect. Steppenwolf sucks hard, he's literally the most boring CBM villain ever.

Superman is pretty good. Also, **** you Paramount, the mustache CGI was really noticeable (but tbh I was really paying attention to it, friend of mine didn't notice it).

Flash and WW were both great. Cyborg was a pleasent surprise (and he gets a new armor by the end of the movie, yay!). Aquaman was cool, but he basically did nothing relevant.

The characters are ok but there are some weird scenes. When Cyborg and Superman separate the motherboxes, Cyborg cracks a joke... but it just feels completely out of character.

The 3rd act is an absolute mess imo. It's one of the ugliest settings I've ever seen in a CBM movie, it's the exact opposite of eye candy. The only good thing about it is Superman.

Again, good characters in a bad movie. Snyder seems like an amazing person, yes, but I'm glad his reign over the DCEU is over.

I thought it was the perfect length...anything longer would have slogged imho. This is a straightforward story and the heroes act like heroes and we get to actually cheer them on as they save the day. No ridiculous metaphors, no navel gazing and over done dramatics...just a bunch of heroes stuck in a situation way beyond their control getting past everything to win the day. It isnt mega deep and uber meta, it is just a cartoon come to life.

I noticed some of the wonky CGI but only cause I was looking for it. My buddy didnt have one complaint about it cause he was watching it clean. I am not sure I have seen him this giddy after a film since TFA.

I wouldnt give it a 10 out of 10 or anything silly like that but I would give it an easy 8.5 and I cant wait til Thursday to see it with my gf and see how she reacts. (she has different tastes than my best friend does)

To each their own...but however we got to this point this is how I want my Justice League.

Saw the movie tonight.

Thoughts: I liked it quite a bit, though I did notice the time constraints. The two hour rule was a mistake, imso. Thanks, Tsujihara. Some stuff moved at a weird pace or came up without much setup.

The rest I'll put in spoiler tags:
I also wish the climax, while playful, also showed that this was a serious threat. At the very least, I would have liked the epilogue to have shown the world's reaction to Superman being back as well as to the JL. That should absolutely have been shown. So much setup for the absence of Superman, so what about his return? What does the world think of that? It's almost like the movie forgot that this was an important subplot to the whole movie by the time the climax was finished.

But, given the change of directors, I think we still got an incredibly fun movie with some quiet moments that I didn't expect.

That first scene with Batman was awesome.

But the best sequence, imo, was when Kal-El comes back and he essentially takes on the whole league. They couldn't contain him, it was sick. But then Barry going at super speed, then all of a sudden we see Superman's eyes start to follow him while everyone else is frozen in place, and the audience is like, holy s***. Then Barry's reaction to Superman being able to see him, then Superman's head turning, then Barry's reaction to that, that whole sequence had me cracking up and wanting to cheer at the same time.

The Aquaman scene when he starts getting weirdly vulnerable, to the point that it felt out of character, then we realize he is touching the lasso of truth without realizing it, that was awesome.

Overall, I do feel there were messy aspects to the movie and I wish they had paid off the whole Superman is back and what does it mean to the world, since that was a throughline narrative, but I still had a lot of fun and the League looks great together.

Affleck was great in this. I liked how how he showed his vulnerability and willingness to try to be better.

Affleck surprised the heck out of me in this film. He went for broke and he definitely didnt mail it in.

Really dug Justice League, and I'm someone who loved Man of Steel & Wonder Woman, admired and appreciated BvS: Ultimate Edition (but accept that it has certain flaws), and hated Suicide Squad. This is the movie we needed to Arc Snyder's trilogy...It over-corrects a bit. After Superman Returns WB wanted tons of action in a Superman movie and they got boat-loads of it in MOS, but after BvS they wanted lightness and humor and they get that in spades, in Justice League. I don't get the heavy criticism of Stepphenwolf, he's very much in line with villains like Ultron, Ares and Red Skull. He's a threatening foil..which is exactly what he needs to be. The movie has a great pace to it, it just moves, and I think you can credit BvS with laying some of the ground-work, for that. To me Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman are the real standouts of the film. Also, Justice League had the best post-credits scenes, I've seen so far. Truly worth sitting through the credits for. Might add to this as more thoughts coalesce...

More thoughts...
Loved the way they showed some of the water-effects with Aquaman/Atlantis related stuff.
Can't emphasize how good the chemistry is among the League members, here...They work really well as a team.
If this ends up being the last we see of Affleck possibly Adams and Cavil(only because of how silent WB has been on MOS2), in these roles...then I can definitely say they went out on a high note
Elfman's score was good at moments, but could've been more pronounced and iconic...Missed the way Zimmer's scores announced their presence, here...
Having big set-pieces happening in desolate areas, seems to be a reaction to all the destruction criticism of the previous films; I would've preferred them to be in more populated areas, so that you could get more civilian reactions to the heroes together, but not a big deal

I think so. Is she Hypolita's close/intimate friend?

Yeah, people worried that Affleck was bland from the trailers, nope, he was far from that.

The trailers dont do him...pardon the pun...Justice. I also think the trailers dont do Cyborg any favors even though I really dug him in the movie.

There it is, that complaint rears it's ugly head again.

I was really impressed with the humanity that Bruce showed in this movie.

Also, reports that "Joss Whedon was also brought on to lighten up Cyborg" is bunk unless Cyborg was an absolute bore beforehand. He was the most serious of the characters in this movie, but the movie shows us why. While he does lighten up some as the movie goes along, it's more about him connecting with others (mainly, the Leaguers). But he is still struggling with his trauma and acts as a straight man in this movie. What I liked that they did with him is that they gave him an arc, but the arc was just small enough that you can still do a lot with him in future movies to continue to evolve him. Also, I had forgotten about
the costume change for him, for those who didn't like his look in this movie. All the talk about the Flash getting a new "costume," wrong hero.

Actually there is A ring scene.

Personally, I thought much of the comedy was in tone with who the characters were, and even that was due to the characters relative to each other. It's like they allow the best parts of themselves to shine when they are together.

*shrugs* Have we seen that many JL reactions with that complaint? Kapital doesn't like too much comedy in a CBM movie. What's the big deal?

Agree with all of this. I dont buy that Whedon stuff but if by some chance it is true than I take back most of things I have said about Whedon in the past cause Cyborg walks the line perfectly. He is a great parallel to Diana which is why it is great she recruits him. And I thought he looked pretty dang good.

And yes the costume change made my buddy and me smile and his "Booyah!" got a nice cheer from the audience

The scene part when Aquaman is in the lasso of truth had everyone rolling in my theater. It was just a funny moment and totally in character with Diana

When I was watching that, I was like, AM is weirdly getting vulnerable here. This is too much, too fast. Then you find out that he's holding the lasso, which made it such a cute scene while also giving AM some more development.

"Tell anyone and you die."
"I didn't hear anything after 'We're all gonna die.'"
