Dont know if this was posted already but it only adds to the stupidness of the rumours. Would someone at the WB put out a statement officially denying these and shelving this inevitable garbage of a project?

Mel Gibson for JLA

More rumors today from the misty world of the upcoming Justice League of America movie. As usual, they contradict at least half of the other rumors we’ve heard about the project, which means you should probably avoid taking any of it seriously.

This batch of gossip comes from IESB, where they’ve taken to printing random emails from readers ( Luda's notes: And this is the site whom y'all wanna place your faith?). This particular random email claims to be from a guy working on the film’s pre-production, under the direction of George Miller. Yep, that George Miller. Mad Max and Happy Feet George Miller. Their source claims he’s been hired as JLA’s director and what’s more the project will reunite Miller with his Mad Max Mel Gibson.

The rumor goes that George is in charge and that people like Bruce Willis, Scarlett Johansson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel, and Leonardo DiCaprio are on Miller’s shopping list for the cast. In specific, he wants Willis for Lex Luthor, Johansson for Talia, and Mel Gibson fro a character named Max Lord. You’d think if you’re going to cast big name stars, you’d cast them as characters people care about. You know, Superman, The Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern or even the Martian Manhunter.

The whole thing is a little hard to believe. The email sounds suspect when you read it, and the pricetag necessary to bring that many stars into a single film would be prohibitive. Of course, if previous rumors that this is a computer animated movie are true, that might make the talent costs a little lower. I doubt Bruce Willis gets as much for voice work as he does for showing his ugly mug. The computer animated angle also sort of fits in with George Miller, who got his feet wet in the CGI world with Happy Feet and has expressed interest in doing more animated filmmaking in the future. This isn’t the first rumor we’ve heard which suggests Miller is involved, so even if the rest turns out to be bunk I think there’s a better than even chance that his involvement at least, will eventually check out.

It's suspect but it didnt stop others from running with it like every other stupid JLA Rumour

fine by me as long as they are clearly labelled reader rumours and not affiliated with sanchez's other sources that told him about george miller, casting starting soon, tom welling and an early 2008 shoot.

I'm so starting a "**** the Justice League Movie" movement. Forget all these "In Singer I trust"or "Nolan in I Trust" groups. Why not just have a group of haters....

Sign up my people.

Just to set the record straight, IESB DID NOT break the George Miller story. Latino Review and Collider.com did.

No one's saying that, I'll believe the Miller appoitment ( though WB is really slow to confirm it has to be said), I just dont believe what these other sites are saying about the casting.

I agree with that. its getting silly with all the rumors.:yay:
I especially liked the one about Zan and Jana.

interesting. most people put alot of faith in L.R., but since it broke the miller news first is it now unreliable??:oldrazz:

No, just the opposite. Latino Review is one of the most reliable and accurate movie sites on the web. They were the first to break the Brandon Routh casting and the use of Brando footage for Jor-El in SR, as well as breaking the news of Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal being cast in The Dark Knight.

If Justice League does indeed go into production, it's a safe bet, George Miller will be at the helm. If and when Miller is confirmed, let's give credit where it's due and not use it to try and validate another sites claims.

Add to all this, why hasnt WB confirmed all this. Unless there doing the whole get the internet buzzing over it, while we sit there.

In which case, damn me then.

So a casting director has now been officially hired...?

( Luda's notes: And this is the site whom y'all wanna place your faith?).

Just because they've been credible in the past, It don't mean that they right!

lol

...."Kosher free".....That doesn't even make sense.
