Justice League script review

...something stinks here.

So he finds an envelope just sitting on his doormat. Wasn't sent in the mail, so there was probably no return address. He opens it to find several pages of a Justice League script...not a full script, just several pages. A script that mentions...mysterious other heroes? Seriously, WTF? Ultraman? Superwoman? Owlman? What is this? Justice League or Crisis on Multiple Earths? Seriously, aren't those the Crime Syndicate on Earth 3?

If he has them, why does he need the OMACs?

If he has them, why does Superman fight Batman and Wonder Woman?

What happened to Batman's involvement with Brother Eye? Where is that?

Something definitely stinks here. Maybe someone is playing a joke? Maybe this is part of the purposely misleading leaks? Maybe its true? I am officially taking the stance that unless WB, George Miller, DC Comics, etc makes a statement, I take it as rumor, no matter how good or bad. I don't care how "good" their source is, unless its official, it ain't official.

I wonder what it was like back before there was an internet...and we could just wait until the movie came out. Man...crazy!

^ I agree. This whole thing completely contradicts everything we've heard up until this point. I don't belive any of it.

Flawlessvictory. I don't want JL to be campy, either, and I seriously doubt that Miller would do that. He has never made a campy movie before, I don't see why he'd start now.

i with those who dont believe, it contradicts most of the stuff we've heard. and batman with a small role? yeah right!

Not entirely impossible, Batman does already have his own franchise going right now. I thought the idea here was to shine the spotlight on these other heroes so that eventually they can get their own films.

^ Maybe, but Batman is the drawcard for this film. He's like Wolverine in X-Men.

I have to admit, all this does seem fishy. It sounds way too over the top bad, like someone is playing a joke.

Eh...I don't mind a more family-friendly tone, but...come on, they can do a lot better then that, I think. Besides, I bet as soon as the higher numbers for TDK come out, they'll be more comfortable with a more mature version...

This is all too real, and completely ridiculous. WB has done it again.

it seems to me that a lot of the iesb people are not happy with the whole welling thing and are trying to get back at it. thats what i get every time i read something from that sanchez guy

Moviehole's success rate isn't really that good. The report at IESB is just reporting what Moviehole said, anyway. If Rob had the script, as has been said, than wouldn't he put his own opinion there?

It is what it is. The movie is going to be a live action cartoon.

Showtime, I remember you mentioning awhile ago that the Batman in this script had a much more different tone than the BB version. The tone in that script review seems to gel with what you said.

A fun popcorn flick kids will get into and money will be made from action figures for certain this time.

However with the differences from SR and BB pronounced maybe MOS isn't so doomed.

Yep. I warned you. :csad:

Yep, that is what it is. A popcorn flick. Not necessarily a bad thing in most cases, but I was hoping for epic here. I will tone down my frustration.

They are scared of epic since SR with epic intentions did not quite make hte "epic" money. Ok if I say epic again ban me.

Just kidding

;)

About the script. Didn't you know all along? Or maybe I'm just an idiot. Yeah, that's probably what it is.
