I was just watching the episode "Question Authority" when it hit me...

Question goes through the events of the time loop...

Luthor becomes the US President...Flash is killed...Superman kills Luthor in retaliation, thus creating a Super Hero Arms Race...which would lead to Armageddon and eventually the end of the world.

Were these events meant to lead up to the "Near Apocolypse of 09" mentioned in the "Batman Beyond" universe? Is that the same ADCU shattering event Question is talking about? I had always thought so but I wasn't sure...

No, for all we know, since Terry spoke about it in the Batman Beyond period, and we all know that Batman Beyond is in the same timeline as the regular DCAU, we can safely assume that it will happen. Besides, Question never mentioned Ra's Al Ghul, who is behind The Near Apocalypse of '09.

Well then WB and Timm & Co should get started on that "Near Apocolypse of 09" Direct to DVD shouldn't they?
