its pop music....pop music takes many forms and appeals to the target demographic

trying to find meaning or get into pop music once you aren't the target demo anymore is like trying to fit into your old Spider-Man footie PJs that you wore when you were a kid

I'm an art teacher in an elementary school. The other day one of my kids came up to me and asked how to spell beaver. I thought she was working on a picture of some animals or something. Apparently she and her friends were laboring under the idea that his name was Justin Beaver. I thought it was kind of funny and didn't bother to correct them. So now they have "I love Justin Beaver" posters in their lockers.

Seriously though. Where the hell did this kid come from? It seems like he just showed up one day, and everyone but me had heard about him. I swear there is a machine in California that just produces these people. I wonder if we could reverse it and have it suck Bieber, miley cyrus, selena gomez, and all of those others back in.

I had no idea who this was until yesterday, so I looked up his vids on youtube, I couldn't help but laugh at the lyrics given his age but it's all pretty harmless G rated stuff, plus I think for his age he has a decent voice and it's hard not to see how marketable he is, he has the boy next door look with just enough cheeky charisma to appeal to the target demo.

The saddest thing was the comments underneath his vids, the amount of hatred and bile aimed at a 15 year old who is just doing what he loves and being successful at it, is a sad commentary on our society.

Have any of you looked him up on you tube, good god the view #'s that that boy has are astronomical....holy cow.

What's he been saying? the only clips I found of him talking were about girls.

I grew up to become a teacher....of kids screaming over Justin and Shawn grew up to write and produce acclaimed series like "American Gothic".

It will be fine.....

True...especially after Justin is chosen to play Marty McFly in the inevitable Back to the Future Remake that starred another famous Canadian: Micheal J. Fox.
