BvS Justin Timberlake wants to play Riddler

Justin Timberlake has said that he wants to play Batman villain The Riddler.

The 'Take Back the Night' singer ruled out reuniting with his Runner, Runner co-star Ben Affleck to play Robin in the Man of Steel sequel, but admitted that he would be keen to portray a bad guy from the Dark Knight's rogue's gallery.

"Not a chance in hell. I ain't playing Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie," he told Fresh 102.7's Jim & Kim show.

"Now, a villain! I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funnily enough, is The Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain.

"The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I'm wanna play proper crazy."

The Riddler was previously played by Jim Carrey in 1995's Batman Forever.

Timberlake also voiced his support for new Batman star Affleck, who has come under fire from fans since his casting was announced last week.

"Ben Affleck as Batman, I like it," Timberlake said. "I worked with Ben last summer and I've seen his process. I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. I think he's an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people."

Runner, Runner, which sees Timberlake play a college student who confronts Affleck's online gambling tycoon, will open in the UK on September 27 and October 4 in the US. Watch the trailer below:

Philip Seymour Hoffman said that he'd find playing the Penguin pretty cool and I now which one I'd want to happen more. These things never come to fruition.

Heck with the castings that have happened in the bat franchises it wouldnt surprise me if he knocked it out the park.

I doubt they'd use riddler in batman vs. superman, and Justin timberlake isn't the first person i'd see playing the riddler. not to say that he's a bad actor but just not the first person i'd pick for the role. although a lot of actors for batman characters are very unexpected lately , lol.

I have a lot of time for Justin Timberlake, and think he's a good actor. I don't think we'll be seeing The Riddler in this film, and should we eventually get him on the big screen again Timberlake isn't the first guy I'd consider, but I wouldn't object to him getting the gig or one like it.

That might be the straw that breaks the camels back for me. I'm willing to give Affleck a chance because I liked him as daredevil, but I have yet to praise Timberlake for any role he's ever done. He had a chance to surprise me with in time , but after the first ten minutes that movie went from great sci-fi flick to cheesy fake Romeo and Juliet nonsense and after those ten minutes of decent drama acting he went straight back into JT from every romance comedy he's ever been in. He was ok in social network though. Just keep him away from Batman though please.

Yep. Jackson worked with Schumacher on "The Wiz" and he did consider it for a time before going with Carrey.
