Johns Ex and "bartender" at the speakeasy.

She's so damn fine. Major facial aesthetics. :hrt:

Curious if anyone else noticed this in the scene after John gets beat unconscious and his dog is killed. When he comes to, he's with his dog, but the dog was killed across the room and he doesn't seem to have moved.

Looking at the blood trail, it looks like his pup crawled over to die at his side before giving in to his own mortal wound. Up until now I thought he brought the dog over to him. :csad:

Just watched it and honestly not only was it great but Keanu Reeves is definitely back and back in style too

Just watched this crazy movie. What a simple, and sometimes hilarious premise, that totally works. The action was great and I loved seeing John Wick tear through bad guys. It was also great that we could tell what was going on in the action scenes; that seems like a rarity nowadays.
This movie was like the Hitman/Punisher/Max Payne movie I've always wanted. It really kind of embraced its silliness, and yet took itself seriously at the same time.

Keanu really has one hell of an impressive action movie filmography
I am curious as to what other great action stars of their time were doing at the age Keanu is now

Finally got round to seeing this and it really surprised me, I was expecting a typical action flick with a badass protagonist (let's face it, we've seen them a million times over with Denzel Washington/Liam Neeson/etc) ............. but it was something more than that. The premise, which looked absurdly simple on paper (they stole his car and killed his dog) was actually much deeper than it appeared once we learned what the dog represented to Wick.

The action scenes and particularly the fights were also incredibly well choreographed, no surprise considering it was directed by guys involved in the Matrix original stunt team. All those directors who think shaky cams can make a fist fight look involving need to watch this.

I loved Reeves in this scene also, when his voice deepens Batman style and he sounds like he's going to bring the apocalypse to the Russians.

The world of John Wick was the best thing about the film.

It's really hard for me to still wrap my head around Reeves being 50 years old. I legitimately can't compute that.

Oh, I decided long ago he was really a vampire. His human role in Dracula just to deliberately throw us off. That's why he was so terrible at it.

No human has ever aged that well.

It's seriously uncanny. Better for us as we'll keep getting these great movies with an ever 25-30 year old looking Reeves.

Keanu is immortal indeed.

I'm thinking that guys like Johnny Depp is slowing his age. Despite him looking younger his age, it's just his demeanor that makes him seem..'old' now. Meanwhile, Pitt has embraced his age, though I would argue he looks like early 40's now. Brad's like fine wine and he's still amazingly handsome despite the crows feet around the eyes.

Pitt is aging well alright. I always think Robert Redford is a good barometer of how he'll age, considering him and Pitt looked so similar when young.

Loved the reception dude in the Continental, probably had the funniest line too. Hope he comes back for the sequel.

He was great. Been a fan of Lance Reddick since Fringe days.

I loved the whole concept of the Continental. A safe haven for underworld figures to rest, chill out and have a few drinks, with a strictly-enforced rule about no 'business' on the premises. And how all these contract killers recognise each other and give the odd nod & wink.

Finally saw this and it is indeed amazing. Reeves was fantastic and I loved the world they set up. I'd love to see more of John, as well as Ian McShane's and Lance Reddick's awesome characters. Also, Bridget Regan looks REALLY good with tattoos... let's bring her back too.

This movie probably had the best action sequences I've seen since the Raid movies. I'm so glad the response to this was so positive and that they are working on sequels. Just please don't run it into the ground like the Taken franchise. There's so much potential here for this character and this world; it just needs to be done well.

This is amazing.

John Wick - Kill Count

I liked when he shot the guy, then the guy slumped against the wall while Wick reloaded and shot him again.

One of my favorite bits is on the rave dance floor: the first guy comes at him and he puts some in his gut and the guy falls then the second guy comes at him and Wick unloads in his chest. The way Keanu is just burying the gun in the guy's chest after every recoil as the guy is falling to the ground it's like he is pushing the guy to the floor with the muzzle of the gun while shooting him then Wick turns around and gets the first guy in the head and keeps on walking...not a single **** was given. He's so lethal and fluid. It's all cause and effect. Every motion leads naturally to another one. If he gets hit or bumped into he uses the momentum from that hit to his advantage and uses it to make another shot or movement. The overall choreography of this film, both the gun work and physical fisticuffs stuff, is some of the best I've ever seen. Keanu's martial arts background just bleeds through this film's pores.
