Kebab Gud fixes the WB/DC comicbook movies

[Kebab gud]

Its clear that WB/DC want to make movies based on their characters, but its also clear that they just cant seem to get any made..

well I'm hear to fix that!


Superman: Man of Steel:
Have this movie introduce Brainiac (DCAU version) and have Darkseid in the backround pulling strings showing up at the end, forcing Superman to seek help; END!

Justice League of America:
Start off with Superman seeking help (Gotham first!), and have a small JLA (Superman, Batman, WonderWoman, Flash, Black canary) Try to stop Darkseids plans but never leaving earth. Batman keeps getting headaches all through the movie, but at the end he suddenly feel drawn to a lab somewhere, when he gets there he meets Aquaman who have felt the same headache and felt drawn to the same place..
they go inside and find Martian Manhunter: END!

Stars off in the batcave, J'onn is unconscious and a larger league (Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman, Flash, Aquaman, Black Canary) are discussing what to do with him and if he is a spy and stuff. He wakes up and tells them the truth, they trust him and he offers to help agains Darkseid. And the Invasion starts! Boom tubes all over the world!
and everything is going to hell!
but just when all seems lost.. a green light lights up the sky!
Its Hal Jordan and John Stewart, straigh from OA. they freen the JLA and join them big fight!: END

The battle for earth continues, the League finaly see that they need to strike a certain ship on earth, while J'onn takes one GL and a few others to Apokolips to "talk" to Darkseid. Big fight on earth, Green Arrow joins up. big fight on apokolips. Mega fight both places
the ship on earth gets taken down, Darkseid sees that he has underestimated earth and pulls his ships back, but the JLA follows and takes the fight to apokolips, when they get there they see that the New gods of New genesis are attacking, Big fight! "victory". Ollie nails Dinah (has to happen!) the core JLA desides to make it permanent: END

Primarily a Space based story, downplaying the supervillin activity on earth

WD said not long ago that they now are OK with making 2 DC movies a year, before they had a max 1 policy. (Marvel has a max 3 policy)

I think it's a really, really bad idea to make every single DC movie one part of a single story (or an outgrowth thereof). A JLA movie should be self-contained.

I've never been especially fond of the Kryptonian Brainiac. I prefer my Brainiac from Colu, thank you very much.

Sounds like acts one two and three of the same film. Also, Darkseid is way too huge for the League's first meeting.

But that's what I am saying... you can't do JLA movies while you are doing solos in the same freaking year. That's clearly what you have in your first post. Unless you meant WB appears to be going with the solos.... but you'd rather just see JLA's and JLA's ONLY instead... but you say in the last sentence that WB should be doing two movies a year... so it seems to me that you think that you can do WW, Supes, and Bats solos the same year as JLA movies. And that obviously can't be done using the same actors... I mean unless you were doing fan made films with a thousand dollar budget.

Agreed. Your JLA trilogy sounds like it would work much better as one movie. Also, i'd much prefer the current, comic book version of Brainiac. The one from Colu.

Kebab, your plan would probably work if it was done in animation.

a live action for each film just wont work. 2009 is way too tight and too full. with a plan like that, MOS and JLA#1 should be in pre-prod heading towards main prod by now and WW should at least be starting with pre-prod. live action films just take so much longer to make, not to mention takes so much more money than an animated effort. but if you're talking of animated movies the likes of Batman: MOTP then yeah i can see your plan realistically happening.

Going by the Post-IC Original league so by the end of the first movie you have the Post-IC Original JLA minus Hal, becaus when a GL comes the **** MUST hit the fan

i have a feeling that any JLA movie made will have Black Canary (2 women makes more sense then one)

hence the notion of people thinking that one has to give way to the other.

i'm not sure whats the rush with the JLA having to be out before 2011. this is gonna be a big project, if its gonna match the standards of Star Wars and LOTR it just makes sense that they start with development now.
