I really hope we actually see Spidey 'web' someone in the reboot. Not throw them onto a giant orb web, not shoot a line at them and pull it off, but actually restrain someone's arms/legs or paste them to a wall. I always imagined it as a kind of shocking and humiliating experience to be webbed up by Spider-man, there's room for some humorous scenes there. I want to see the horrified face of a purse snatcher as he's sprayed by mysterious goo... Here's a pic I made ages back about how I'd like to see the web function:

This is a pretty great diagram. This does a good of explaining why spiderman's webs habe the different shapes they do. But I am curious about how the whole weight system would work on the webs. I can't picture it very well.

Wow this thread literally have died. Why? I understand we are all in remorse over the death of Laura But we CAN still pay our respect. But i was wondering since we have got a little close up on the web shooters themselves, (well at least the shown part) How do we suspect these will work. I really hope they are truly mechanical. No web-controllers BS. please no.

Wow, this argument again? I was adamantly against organics back in the old days, but they didnt turn out too badly. it did take away some of the storylines so it will be nice to see mechs again, but ultimately I think the old trilogy proved organics can work.... (Sorry to bail ship on you, "Mr Parker", wherever you are)

I think it could be both. He could have organics, and then use webshooters to alter his webs as needed (adding chemicals like he's done with Rhino, Magnesium like he did in Spider-Man 64, etc.). It'd be easier to just do mech though.

I was disappointed that in the first 3 movies,Spiderman's webshooters were organic.I'm very happy that in the new Spiderman movie that he has mechanical webshooters.Marvel did something right.
