That was a major mistake, IMO. I didn't really enjoy The Incredible Hulk all that much, :(. I feel it could have been a lot better had they not rushed it so late.

Agreed.

Please tell me that's a joke.

:funny:.

Its a joke but at the same serious. Arnold is of norse descent so his accents works in this role. Odin is old but a warrior king who is still suppose to be intimidating physically.

Sorry, but I just have to disagree with you there. I seriously doubt if any audience would wanna see Arnie ever take part in another comic book movie after the batastrophe he was in back in the dark days.

He's Austrian, which is nowhere near Scandanavia. Beyond that, it's Schwarzenegger; people wouldn't take him seriously in that kind of part; he's got one film personality, a highly effective one, but one that isn't suited for this part.

The Norsemen reign was not limited to Scandanavia there territory extended into Upper Europe into countries like Germany,Swiss, Austia,and etc etc

i think its going to be hard for the general audience to get punishment and the finding of the hammer as two perfectly aligned events.

I don't think it's anything that couldnt be taken care of with an expositionary explanation from, say, Odin to a supporting character.

^^Yeah, and with a guy like Branagh and the calibur of the actors he will bring in;

I'd say it's a cinch that it would be told well.

Branagh has a heavy reputation in film, people will be running to Marvel to be involved in this thing....

I think that Blake is not needed to bring Thor to the modern world. Have Asgard as another dimension and SHIELD have been monitoring any anomalies and they have a very high and positive reading which is of Loki entering Earth and then they get a similar reading later on and it is Thor who has been sent by Odin to stop Loki from doing whatever he is gonna do. Thor stumbles upon Hulk smashing stuff up in a city with Iron Man and Cap trying to stop him. Thor thinks of Hulk as an ogre who Loki has brought along and helps Iron Man and Cap to stop Hulk. Then you guys can all work out the rest. Have Stark and SHIELD think Thor is crazy calling himself a god and that he is not from Earth but some SHIELD scientists kind of believe him with the disturbinces they have been recording.

That's Avengers for ya. Have Thor set entirely in Asgard and bring Thor into Earth with what I said.

Filmmakers really need to stop trying to make films so realistic as these movies are fantasy, so we do not need writers and directors coming up with ways on how this actually could be possible in real life.

True;

One can invisage Thor being an absolute collossus of a production that people will be clamouring to be part of, mainly due to the class that Branagh brings.

Yup, that's why he's perfect for this.

good point sarg....BUT let it go....i tried to tell everyone on here months ago, blake was being added to the script... how will blake be in the avengers? i am not sure, (slam the cane when it's time to fight, play the science/humanitarian etc... idk).

Thor should think Hulk is a troll. It would be a nod to the original live-action Thor that only the hardest-core fans would pick up on.

Yeah I will let it go because I don't care what changes are made because I don't read comic books so I will not be aware of what is faithful and what isn't.

But my own ideal way would be what I posted.

I don't like the Blake idea, because it like a possession... it's not the real Thor. It's Thor possessing someone.

But Blake isn't a real person, so it's not quite the same. It's not like THor was inserted into the body of an existing person. Blake is no more possessed than Bruce Banner.

If Kenneth does indeed covet a supporting role for himself in this movie, he should stick to playing Fandral:

No... he's much older than those pictures posted

I haven't seen any recent movies with him, so I don't really know how old Kenneth is right now, but I'm sure some Hollywood magic can make it work. I can't really see him in any other role without seeming contrived.

Yeah... but that does not mean that he will cast himself in a major role. It could very well be an insignificant cameo. You just don't know.
