At least we got to meet Roderick tonight. Having him basically be one of Joe's first disciples is about what I expected out of him. Him being a sheriff where the house is located allows the cult to operate without any real fear from local law enforcement. His relationship with Louise and even Joe are going to be interesting to watch develop.

Charlie asking Joe to off him for bungling two parts of their plan was sort of unexpected but somehow uniquely how you'd expect someone as devoted as Charlie to react. Kind of reminded me of a samurai committing hari kari, except that he wanted Joe, the father figure for the cult, to do it.

As for the FBI side, Mike taking the beating and stabbing without singing like a canary added a layer of toughness that'd been missing from him. You could tell that Hardy respects him for taking the beating and then even more for not talking when he did know where Claire was. I'm not sure I like the new FBI boss, but it was nice to see him address how bad they were looking for letting Carroll and Co. to escape and kill so often.

last night was some seriously ****ed-up ****... some of those followers of Joe are seriously whacked...

and Joe is the worst... "just find that soft spot and then you just... "...

that was just some chilling **** there...

and I see some potentially good tension between Joe and Roderick for control of the following... with Joe's escape, this whole series has taken a new turn with some potentially exciting new twists...

Honestly, the one thing I'm looking forward to most in this show is when the short haired girl dies. She creeps the crap out of me.

And what was with the ending of last night's episode? Suddenly the cult house becomes, like, a sex mansion for the crazy?

I agree. There is definitely some tension there. Not everyone deals with change well.

That was in place because viewers these days need a certain amount of sex to keep watching. I could have done without it myself.

I was very tense watching last night, afraid they were going to kill off Shawn Ashmore's character. It would have upset me greatly as he is one of my favorties.

Jeez, that scene of [blackout]Joe killing Charlie[/blackout] was almost like a sex scene between the two. I loved it.

I love the difference between Joe and Rodrick it showed at the end, with their respective partners. Joe is all romantic era charm and seduction where Rodrick just seems like a brutal psychopath, more at home with guys like Billy and Stu in the first Scream.
